Morning folks. Not a good one. My brother fell down a flight of stairs last night. Ended up with swelling on his brain and had two heart attacks. Luckily it doesn't appear there is any heart damage, but he's sedated and they are cooling his body until at least tomorrow to see if he can breathe on his own. Seems they are most worried about whether he'll be able to breathe on his own and if he can, what extent of brain damage there is because he wasn't breathing when the paramedics arrived and they aren't exactly sure how long that was the case.

Holy shit, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.
 
My pops had a second TEE procedure to check on his heart today. He was in the hospital last month with heart failure and atrial fibrillation. He's been on blood thinners since the hospital stay, and they were hoping that a potential problem with the heart would have disappeared so they could just shock his heart and get him out of a-fib. No dice today, unfortunately.
