When my wife passed away, I didn't date for a couple years. When I did start dating, all the rules had changed. I wasn't having fun.
I decided I would make it fun. I joined a site and it was manic. Determined, I ran with it.
Before long I had tried many sites and was having fun - too much fun.
99% of the women were looking for serial monogamy. Women in their 40's aren't running away anymore.
Most are divorced and most thought their ex was boring. I was not boring!
Eventually, I tired of the shallowness and wanted to get out. But before I did, I met my current wife and we have been marriedfor 9 years now.

If you respond to temptations or lack good judgement, dating sites will be a disaster.
If you don't fall for every chance for a thrill, you might find a "needle in a haystack."

I have pretty good judgement at least so far.. I'm pretty picky.. I haven't said yes to every one who has asked me out.. but it's been fun so far.. hopefully one of them will work out..
