For sure he has the inside track but problem is we went through the Doba years when it was convenient to not do a national search. Dickert is 1B IMO and whoever 1A is needs to be offered first. Evidently Chun asked Chris Peterson and was shot down at least according to rumors.

This was a young team. Yes, they lose a handful of their talent, but still have a lot of guys left. Sure, they were a 4 win team with them, but I still blame most of it on the worst coaching I've seen since Willingham.

Doba is the only HC the cougs have had in the last 75 years that had a positive record vs UW. Maybe Dickert becomes the 2nd.

Doba still had a losing record vs the Mutts and was gifted the best the program had ever been and let it burn down with in a couple of year. Granted he gets a pass because of family issues but just shows IMO the most painless answer isn’t always the best one. The Mike Leach hire ruined relationships with alumnus and the school and we saw how that turned out until douchebag Moos left.

Hmm, I knew Brink was 3-1 but thought Doba lost all of the other ones. Took over in 2002 and was let go in 2007 so I guess that makes sense. Price wasn’t great at the Apple Cup either but situations were a little different. When they were in the first stage of Wazzu with Price they were 2-2 then he completely gutted the team in 98 and started all freshmen that was suppose to culminate in 2002 but started the Coug’d phenomenon even though a Rose Bowl and a destruction of Vince Young in the Holiday Bowl proves his vision worked just not vs UW. Same with Leach though, the Apple Cup came down to us clinching the north 3 times in the 7 straight AC losses.

Even though Huard had 4 picks I think he really only threw 1 and his WR’s and RB’s did him dirty. I think he can be a solid Brock Huard style QB for you guys, but I don’t think the 4 star running backs and wideouts were real 4 stars nor was any of your lineman NFL caliber. But I don’t know who was all out but I knew your line and receivers were suppose to a strength, at least that is what KJR told me.
