The Civil War between Oregon and Oregon State is a big game if you are the Ducks or Washington State Cougars. To keep things simple, a win for the Oregon Ducks today sends the Ducks to Las Vegas to take on Utah in Las Vegas for the PAC-12 Championship! A rematch that needs to happen. It's Senior day, along with some players last game at Autzen as they embark onto the NFL next year, so this game will have a lot of meaning and the Ducks will be ready. Still lots to play for, to defend their conference title!

Oregon State has had such a neat season for them. In this game thread let's take a moment to acknowledge and recognize and applaud their amazing 7-4 season. Just incredible for them to be 7-4 overall and 5-3 in conference, good for them.

But step aside little brothers, this game is a stepping stone for the Ducks as they look to get their revenge against the Utes in Vegas for the conference title. A win also surely puts Oregon in the top 10 ranking again.

Oregon State is a fun story given that their players are a bunch of 2 stars and 3 stars and local players from around the state. It's like a novelty team.
 
I have a conundrum.

I want the Beavs to win. That will give us the instant gratification of OD melting down today.

However, if they win today and win again vs. Utah...we will undoubtedly be treated to a scenario village type thread where we are presented with several different ways that Oregon ends up in the playoff because of some stuff that happened during the season that the committee "surely has to consider" and therefore will put Oregon in.

Then, when Oregon doesn't get in, we'll get treated to a meltdown that may be even better than the one we'll get if they lose today.

That’s not a rematch that needs to happen… not like it was a good game, oregon had to get lucky to even score once. Let WSU take another shot, they were at least half way competitive when they played Utah.
