GAME The Game. #2 Ohio State Buckeyes vs #5 TTUN Fox Noon EST

Based on yesterday it seems like that's probably good for Ryan Day that we didn't play.

And what was meeeechegan's record last season?

You just guaranteed a 2-4 meeeechegan team would have beaten Ohio State.

Just stunning homerisim on your part. Truly unbelievable. You just took your UofM homerism to a whole new level. Congrats.

Given how bad OSU is, yeah.

Hey @Wamu I'm trying to find when Ohio State plays this Saturday? You have any insight on when the game is?

Beer pong at St. John's arena on campus versus Nebraska. It's gonna be televised on espn 8 the ocho.

How bad they are? This is about last year's match up. You said last years UofM team would have beaten last years Ohio State team because of what happened yesterday. Comment # 819. That's some interesting thinking on your part.

Ryan day has gotten worse every single year.

(1) I think Saban & Bama have something to say about that. Pretty sure over the past several years no school in the country has put more total players into the NFL.

I have no concerns about the offense. Yeah gonna lose some great CFB wr's. But others are waiting for their turn. And Stroud & Henderson will be even better next season. I like that Henderson bumped Clarett outta the recordbooks.

It's the D that bothers the hell outta me. Just hope some changes for the better are made for next season.

Been saying for more than a month that if Ohio State got into the playoff they would have gotten their asses kicked by Georgia. Wonder what bowl game they end up with?
I'm talking right now, this year. Ohio State's 4th WR who transferred out was Alabama's #1 WR this year. Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave will both most likely be 1st round picks in the NFL next year and they aren't even the best WR on Ohio State -- Ngjiba-Smith is better than both of them. Your back up WR's are both 5 star guys, each was the best WR the year they were recruited. Fleming #1 in 2020, Egbuka #1 in 2021.

No one has better skill position talent. Ur backup QB Ewers is the only HS QB to have a perfect 1.000 rating, joining Trevor Lawrence with that honor. Henderson is beast at RB.

Ohio State's issue is -- they don't have that talent on the defensive side of the ball. They will overwhelm less talented teams, but teams who has some talent and can play physical are going to give OSU fits. That's what Oregon did, that's what UM did.
That last drive by UM was about as telling as you will get. OSU knew exactly what UM was going to do and there was nothing they could do to stop it.

That's not what you said. You said last years UofM team would have beaten Ohio State. You can't talk your way outta this.

You really need to explain how you came to the conclusion that last years UofM team would have beaten Ohio State because of what happened yesterday. Do you think before you post comments?

Probably would have. Did you see how bad OSU was? Ryan day is a bad coach.

Don't forget that JH was afraid to play Ohio State last season. What a pussy.
So was Ohio State scared to play Illinois and Maryland? Or did everyone deal with covid BS last year?

So you blame Ohio State for Maryland canceling that game last year? Makes sense. But Ohio State did cancel against Illinois. Last time I checked I don't think Illinois is a hated rival of Ohio State on a previous 8 game losing streak like meeeechegan. Ohio State/Illinois isn't as big as Ohio State/meeeechegan.

Ryan Day's the worst coach in all of CFB. That 20-something conference winning streak was a lie created by Ohio State's public relations department. The school should seriously consider firing him.

Nah, just a product of Urban Meyer. To quote the coach of the Division Champions, some people start on third base and think they hit a triple.

The fact is -- many schools cancelled games. It is not like teams got to choose when or if they fell below the Covid protocol numbers. It had nothing to do with OSU.

Well Day's in his third year at Ohio State. Like I've told you before I judge coaches by their entire resume. You on the other hand judge a certain coach by what you hope he accomplishes and what he's done his coaching career. Here's a comparison of the two through three years. These are JH's numbers from ann arbor. And I didn't include Day's 3-0 record as replacement for Meyer.

Day: 30-4 / JH: 28-11

Day: two playoff appearances / JH: none

And don't forget you said last year's UofM team would have beaten Ohio State because of what happened yesterday. It's the comment that defines you.

Day has regressed every year.

You have an odd definition of 'regressed'.

First year - won the B1G, went to the CFP, lost in the first round.

Second year - won the B1G, went to the CFP, won in the first round, lost in the championship game. <==== CLUE - this is not regression.

Third year - went 10-2 and didn't win the B1G.

Don't worry about Maize -- he is just going overboard after not having the chance to say much for the last decade. Personally -- I think OSU hasn't missed a beat on offense with Day on board. It is the other side of the ball that has big issues, and simply bringing in new coaches or using a different scheme isn't going to change it much. They just don't have the game changers they've had for so many years. They don't have a Joey Bosa, a Nick Bosa, a Chase Young, a Tyquan Lewis, a Sam Hubbard, etc. at DE. They don't have a lockdown CB they have had every year for the past decade. There is no Marshawn Lattimore, Jeff Okudah, Denzel Ward, Eli Apple, Bradley Roby, Gareon Conley, Damon Arnette.

The Buckeye defense lacks elite playmakers. The offense is STACKED WITH THEM. Against the vast majority of teams, that is all OSU needs, but if they want to win a title -- they are going to need much more than what they have there now.

yeah, that was one of the most surprising aspects of this game for me. I feel like every year there's been at least one defensive OSU player that terrorizes us.
