The only advantage to a propane grill is that it's substantially easier to clean. Since quality of the food is the only major concern, I wouldn't rank it as a reason to give up charcoal.

I currently own 3 with 4th on the way. One I never use and is in shed, it's more of a novelty I asked for christmas nothing thinking i'd get it, but my mom bought it. I actually like using it for chicken though, I think next time I make chicken I need to break it out

I don't give up charcoal....I just don't always have the time to fire it up. If I've only got 30 minutes to get supper on the table, I'm sure as hell not waiting on charcoal to get hot.
