At OU he is at the top of the food chain and there was nowhere to go but down and he saw what happened to aTm who hasn't won 10 games since they joined the SEC, never won a division let alone the conference, and honestly hasn't finished better than 3rd in the league.

Make no mistake this wasn't a business decision and not an OU problem. The only way to fix it was to back out of the SEC move and that wasn't happening because there is too much money at stake.

Tamu wasn’t winning the b12 south , and they were the runaway offense in the entire sec both their first two years in the sec.
Sec defense is a myth.

I mean that's second most in the conference. A super shitty overall conference.

It doesn't take Bama talent to compete at a very high level in the Pac.

They played well below their talent level basically since Carroll left.

The right staff for sure can turn that around in one season. Utah and ASU are the only teams in their division with a pulse and they have nothing close to their talent level.

They were the worst defense in the entire SEC.

Yeah. They sucked in the b12 and they sucked in the sec. But still the faraway best offense both their first two years in the sec.
So your take that they were good in the b12 and hit a wall in the sec is just a lie

hey hey now.. we beat SC then, Utah, CU in bowl games.. sure no one wanted to be there..but that's because our defense showed up.. hell even the season we lost to SC.. defense showed up. offense was really bad under a freshman sam :(

It's going to be interesting to see if Riley wins right away and if not how much time they give him. Sark and Kiffin were both fired from there after all.

You can try yo shift focus to tamu defense those two years, but your take on their move to the sec has been proved a lie.

USC is loaded with Talent.
They have just had a shitty coach they couldn't seem to wrap their head around.

anyhow, anyone making the argument that tamu went from a certain level in b12 and fell off in sec is a dunce. They were the literal number one offense in the sec their first two years
