I don’t think he wants anything to do with ND. He really loves where he’s at and there is zero pressure to win where he’s at. Coldest seat in the country.

I actually heard it’s the 1 job he would consider when packers rumors were going on. He just fits at nw. I Don’t think it would work on a bigger stage. His offense has absolutely sucked for about 10 yrs now

That’s interesting. I always got the sense he’s had a chip on his shoulder about ND, as a former NW player especially since ND probably has a bigger following in Chicago than Northwestern.
 
I have to admire Kelly, at 60, getting into the meat grinder that is the SEC West.

That man still has more of a drive than some of these 30 year old savants.

For real. He had that program back to actually being relevant beyond their name for the first time since the late 80s/early 90s with Holtz. Seeing their fans’ “good riddance” take is interesting…. Defense mechanism I guess…

Go look at any gameday thread since people jumped over to this site. It was basically Nd fans shitting on him. No denying he made the program relevant again but he is the most frustrating gameday coach I’ve watched
