Brian Kelly

If Kelly can get a transfer QB he should be ok next year. Everything is going to depend on the staff he builds and if they can recruit.

He is going to have to learn fast that depth is critical in the SEC because if you don’t have 40 guys that can play at a high level you aren’t going to make it through the season. That was not the case anywhere else he has been.

When people say he couldn’t get over the hump at ND it’s not because it’s ND, it’s because he’s a notoriously lazy recruiter. His staff did most of the legwork and he rarely if ever got directly involved until the very end. He abandoned wholesale parts of the country just because he didn’t think he could sell it. He failed to form connections with HS coaches, especially catholic schools which is damn near malpractice at ND.

His staff better be dynamo at it because at age 60 I don’t think he’s going to change his ways much.

Hire David Cutcliffe as OC, his relationship with the Mannings brings Arch to LSU, Kelly has em rolling after 2022.

I actually had a thought this morning that ND would be very smart to bring on Cutcliffe as an off-field analyst and mentor to Freeman in his first couple of years to help with the transition. I doubt Cutcliffe wants or needs a position job but a mentoring situation for a young new coach might be right up his alley and it would invaluable to Freeman.

I didn’t even consider race. The only thing I considered was age and scope of the job. Even Saban brought in Butch Jones to handle a lot of admin stuff for him because it’s a huge job.

Having a guy in there with white hair, that isn’t a threat and be someone you get advice and coaching from us invaluable.

It works like that in large privately held companies as well.

It was a joke son, settle down or you'll wrinkle your hood and sheets!

No Manning will ever attend LSU.

Archie played QB at Ole Miss when the rivalry with LSU was hate filled.

They HATE LSU..
Ah no, that is the OLD way of things. The OLD way would have never seen a HC from Notre Dame leave for LSU. Today is a new day my friend, we pay these bastards enough to overcome the deepest hate..

True...and throw in the NIL. BUT, I don't think any of the Mannings are in need of money.

. BK got a southern accent now

He don’t feel no ways tired.

He’ll need until spring practice to bone up on his Orgeronese though.
