Seeing as how they still have a chance THIS YEAR to make the CFP, yeah.

You are all about to find out that the limitation on ND getting over the hump was Brian Kelly himself. He’s good, just not good enough. And he’s not a good recruiter. Stories former players and current prospects have told recently reveal that unless he changes his stance (at age 60 good luck) those problems will follow him to LSU.

I’m fine with him leaving. He left the place better then he found it. I’m not happy about the manner in which he left and the chaos it caused right before Early signing period with a top 5 class in the balance.

Only thing that will save that is Marcus Freeman being promoted. BTW he’s meeting ND’s athletic director as we speak.

Well you lucked into a stud QB and really good assistants.

One of the reasons ND has struggled to compete with the big dogs is his inability to get a marquee QB. Found out on a podcast by former players (they had Tom Lemming on) he said that if the big time catholic schools (Mater Dei, Don Bosco, Aquinas) Saban made a point to visit them annually. Kelly never so much as picked up the phone. ND’s ability to tap into talent laden catholic schools should have been a no brainer.

Some of the big name QB’s this year have said ND only first contacted them in the last month or two. That’s what you’re getting.

also AD was supposed to be at the CFP committee on expansion today. Stayed behind to talk to Freeman. Seems pretty clear he’s being offered the HC job.
