They were all still taking OU money the last I heard...let's see how it pans out?But when you have had Wease, Hazelwood, Stogner hit the transfer portal, and it is sounding like Mims is going to go as well. For incoming or future recruits -- you've had four 5 star recruits de-commit and 3 other top 100 recruits. I don't care if you are Georgia, Bama or OSU -- THAT is going to really hurt
Very true. It just seems like they are losing a ton of talent and haven't really heard much on the coaching front from them, other than Stoops would coach the bowl game. They were all still taking OU money the last I heard...let's see how it pans out?

OU needs to find a coach and quickly, as their recruiting class for 2022 is falling apart and all the top guys seem to be following Lincoln Riley to USC. Another 5 star recruit left to go to USC - Raleek Brown.
They contact Barry Switzer yet?
OrThey have whiffed on most of their top choices by now. Venables is still recruiting for Clemson so he's out. There were Dabo and Saban rumors but those were laughable. I assumed at this point they would have picked off Shane Beamer but if that had happen it would have been announced by now.
They just need to throw Lebby stupid money and call it good. They have been decimated by current talent entering the portal and losing talent in two classes. He's someone who is a gamble but he's an OU alum and someone who could salvage their loss of offensive talent. I'm thinking Williams and Mims are out after the bowl game and the only thing keeping them there is the "NIL" money they are given to stay until this sorts itself out. The squat fans are jacking off about Stopps coaching the bowl game but those kids were in middle school when he was relevant so no one gives a fuck about it. They want a defensive coach who can pluck an elite OC but that ship has sailed. They just need to settle on a guy and hope for the best.
Hell who knows. Lebby could be the next John Blake or he could be the next Mike Gundy. Both were alum stretch hires. One was awful and one is going to get a statue after he retires. OU is suddenly a stepping stone job. They need to find someone who is willing to stick around a lesser program before going to the big boy show and that means hiring an alum.
I'm tongue in cheek on this because it's ou but I'm fucking loving those fart sniffers realize their blood isn't as blue as they think and their future is less Bama and more Nebraska. Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud or typed it. Whatever
I looked it up and it was $118,500 so I was way off but he paid himself a chunk of change. Is this for real?
That sounds like some Louisiana politics shit.
Bob is getting paid $325,000 I thinkI looked it up and it was $118,500 so I was way off but he paid himself a chunk of change.
Or
Maybe the new guy is coaching a game this weekend and doesn't want anyone to know or be distracted by it.
This is what my gut says.Or

Joe C won't be fucking this up.

Will be interesting to see who OU ends up getting as HC.
I agree. Rushing a hire just to keep one recruiting class in tact is more short term thinking than long.

You sound like a jackoff idiot. No one in their right mind is worried about OU's coaching search unless it extends past this coming Sunday. A week to absorb a coach's resignation, do a thorough coaching search, negotiate a contract, get the legal beagles to say grace over everything and arrange the lion's share of the new coaching staff is moving at warp speed. And a statue of Mike Gundy on the campus of Silo Tech is supposed to prove something? LMAO I could sit here all day and make jokes about that. They have whiffed on most of their top choices by now. I still have a gut feeling this is our guy. I have zero "inside information" to back it up but the chattering masses have been saying all along it's this guy or Brent Venables. Aranda has eaten Riley's lunch every !@#$%^& time they have played each other and that's damn near left a scar on OU's memory. Now they'd love to have him if they could. But, repeat but, nothing's for sure right now. But I notice Aranda hasn't made any "No way in hell" statements lately. Hmmmm.
