I don’t think most coaches understand game situations. They don’t watch games all day every Saturday and Sunday. They spend all their time watching film and X’s and O’s

That’s why someone like Frank Beamer was very successful and I could see his son being That way too. His (frank) responsibility was special teams and having game situations. I feel Like most of the time a coordinator (offense or defense) is elevated is to make sure they don’t leave. Which makes sense at one end but ends up costing games at other ends.
