That's pretty much the same in NC and TN
It took me almost three hours to get from the east side of Knoxville to the west side on a Friday early-afternoon. I had intentions of making it to Washington that night and Knoxville ruined that idea, though it worked out well because I got to drive through the Shenendoah Valley on a beautiful morning.

In the last four months, I've driven across the country from LA to Baltimore to San Diego to Baltimore.

Across New Mexico and much of Iowa I was at the point of insanity over the miles and miles and miles and miles of "ROAD WORK AHEAD - LEFT LAND CLOSED" when there's no sign whatsoever that work has been done or will be done anytime soon. Hundreds and hundreds of miles of 25mph for that. Second to that are the trucks in the left lane doing 1mph faster than the trucks in the right lane with 100 cars behind them.
I’d in total, there was at least 100 miles of that on the way to and from South Dakota, seemed like the whole length of Iowa outside the population centers on I-29 were that way

Probably for the best. I’ve never been, but I hear Arkansas has the roughest roads in the country
It used to be, yes. They are vastly improved. The worst I saw in the whole country was through Illinois going past Chi-town. OKC is horrible, too.

It needs to be three lanes. The problem is all of the trucks and the assholes who want to go 1 mph faster than the trucks so it takes forever to pass.
You just described I-90/80 between Chicago and I-76 right by the Pennsylvania border.

Fucking Ohio drivers boxing people in because of that shit.

I need to take a break from this thread. It's getting me angry, thinking about all the slow ass fuckface drivers out there :mad2:

I have videos on my phone I shot where I was ranting about all the lane closures for no reason. I was screaming, crying, shouting vulgar, abusive language and punching the steering wheel in one.

I've decided not to share those with anyone.

Speaking of shitty drivers, why do people who are clearly going faster than you with an open passing lane instead decide to come up real close for a few seconds and then pass? Is it some small dick showing off thing, or.....?

The very worst stretch of road I saw in the entire country was that stretch from Erie to Chi-town. It's shocking. People just have no idea how bad it is; I certainly didn't.

My Dad does that. It drives me to the very bounds of sanity. It's almost like he's driving to draft off of them for a second or two. We've passed more than one driver who was hanging out shaking his fist and I was nodding in agreement with them.

If there’s someone in the left lane going slower than I want to go, I get right on their ass until they get over, but at the same time if I’m on a backroad and someone tailgates me I go slower and slower. I guess I’m a hypocrite

I've driven that stretch, I-70 throughout the state and I-70 to Columbus/I-71 to Cincy multiple times. It's the same story each route: shitty drivers and cops. Fucking cops everywhere.

Best roads I saw in the country was Phoenix. Holy shit from out by the Air Force base past Scottsdale, it's a dozen lanes of the best blacktop you've ever seen. I get that it never rains there and so they don't get water erosion of roads, but still, it's impressive! Albuquerque is nice, too but nothing like Phoenix.

Probably cops everywhere because there's so many damned wrecks. Driving through Cinci was one of the worst backups I've seen in years right at the split south of town. Cost me HOURS. 😭 I thought the Reds were playing or something. Waze didn't even re-route me.
