Do any of you non Christians get offended when someone wishes you a Merry Christmas?

Never said that, but the economic impact of the holiday is definitely a reason why Christmas is more important than other holidays.
Rob Base would like to have a word with you

All holidays are too important to people in general... "Hey, we should all celebrate this thing because the Earth & sun are in the same relational position as they were when this thing happened in the past!"
Too long. I celebrate every day the sun comes up. Rotation>revolution

anniversaries are worth celebrating, IMO

and anything that brings humanity together, I think is worth celebrating.
Go hang out with your cousin without the calendar telling you it's their birthday. Show your wife you love her every day, not just February 14th. Take your mother out to eat on days that aren't Mother's Day.

It's foolish to be reliant on a calendar for human relations.

Forget your anniversary and see what happens...
My wife and I treat each other as if every day is our anniversary. We acknowledge the calendar anniversary and typically make a special point to eat out together that particular day, but it's just like every other day for us.

HAHAHA...what?

Where do you get that impression?
well you are putting your religion above everyone elses, so that's what I get from you on this.

like you don't respect that "Christmas" does not mean every other holiday that someone might be celebrating

so celebrating making it another year isn't worth celebrating because you need a tool to know when those dates are?

It’s important to non-Christians as well. How much of our economy is driven by the Christmas season?
yup and its more than just buying presents

a lot of hotels make bank in December because companies love to host their holiday parties at hotels

my hotel this past weekend hosted four different holiday parties. I'm guessing this weekend will be no different

fwiw, i'm not arguing that Christmas is the most important holiday, mostly b/c i'm not interested in having that conversation. just agreeing that Christmas' (and yes, i think holiday parties essentially mean Christmas parties) economic impact is undeniable
