Take it however you want but my point was I have vivid memories of Earle Bruce at OSU during my childhood. I am sure the guy was not perfect and the media protected public figures more then but there were no scandals that I am aware of. Same with John Cooper. He never seemed to create any drama and was able to recruit like nobody's business. Cooper was never really embraced by the fanbase. People made fun of his accent and always treated him like an outsider

We pretty much scrubbed Bo on all things. Removed him from the stadium, removed him from the videos inside the stadium, got rid of the "team the team the team" stuff. Schembechler Hall and the statue are still standing, something a lot (if not most) fans are uncomfortable with. We certainly didn't camp out to protect it from anything. Hell, even the MDen is getting rid of that stuff.

They still defend it. It seems like Michigan fans were like "sure, I don't care -- tear it down" and the administration just kinda ignored it and hoped it went away while quietly removing Bo from everything else.

Your current coach still endorses him and choses to ignore his enabling of the abuse. But he did beat the Buckeyes this year so that makes it ok.
