I screwed up. Should have read "running the ball too much". At least that was the scuttlebutt from some Tech people that were at a gathering this summer with him Riley, Kingsbury and Holgerson.
 
Williams and Hamilton opting out for ND. Not a surprise. Hamilton is likely a top 10 pick.

The Peach Bowl without Walker and potentially without Pickett will be hilariously bad.

Yeah... THAT could get VERY interesting for some of the bigger (non New Year's Day) bowl games in the future.

whomever is labeling players for opting out as quitters.. Hope you are a huge Jaylon williams fan who shredded his leg in a bowl game. Also, El Paso is really nice this time of year, instead of bashing it give it a chance.. but who am I kidding wazzu fan probably stays in no matter what bowl game his team goes too
 
I have no problem with TOP NFL prospects opting out of MINOR Bowls... after all, the insurance polices don't cover nearly as much money as the potential multi-millions of future income lost from a major injury....

but... IMO, a player should not opt out of any of the four non-playoff New Years Six Bowls.

Hey mighty Disney and other TV network companies:
If you want to reduce the risk of pissed-off Bowl sponsors because players are opting out, then step up and purchase injury insurance policies with large payouts for the players in those Bowls.
 
No surprise here, they should just cancel the Peach bowl or atleast let the bowl committee enough time to change teams

It really is. Both teams lost their best offensive player. It's a pointless exhibition at this point. Not that they always weren't but somehow they used to have a lot more meaning to both fans and the kids playing.

They don't care because people will watch regardless.. it's a NYD tradition. And at the end of the day, y'all really going to hold it against players who forego the NY6 bowl games when half of the excuses for a loss is "they didn't want to be there"?

It's all a moot point anyways, for you "it's a NY6 game, suit up, crowd" the expanded playoffs will include these bowl games. And your Tostitos/PS/CapitalOne/Goodyear sponsorship fans can be happy now lol
