Tis Tik Tok Friday

One of the things my dad said after one of my "mistakes" has stayed with me all these years.

"You got yourself in trouble. Get yourself out."
Ah yes, I was there with my father too.

And that’s the consequence kids of a certain age have to learn if they choose.

Giving them a tip like “don’t get caught” isn’t so bad. It doesn’t negate that the parent busted their ass with the younger child to learn the morals and ethics.

But, there comes a point where you can help them be prepared for the test, but can’t take the test for them.

I’m sure @ill parents would agree with me….

Anyone seen the show Ghosts?

The Trevor character reminds me so much of Douche

"act like there is always a camera on you"

That is not "Don't get caught", you imbecile.

That is "If you know it's wrong, don't do it because you're likely to get caught"

i.e. Always think Right and Wrong. Just because your friends want to do it, doesn't mean you have to do it too.

My kids were told at 15 that if they got drunk or if a friend driving was drunk to call me and I'd come get them with minimal punishment. That is not the same as "Get drunk and drive whenever you want"

I want them to trust me and that they'd make a good decision as opposed to be mangled or dead being sneaky and untruthful about it.

Being a 15 year old once I know they're gonna try things. Drugs or alcohol.

Again.... Think about the consequences!!

for sure

but it did make me think of what you all would think a bridge too far would be after the "yes I would help my kid hide a body" comment.

Transplanted ticker, so I think that means he has to take immune system depressors to keep the body from rejecting the heart.
Hence a compromised immune system. The people who are really at risk with Covid. Not...NOT the 22 year old xbox playing taco bell swilling idjit who works 5 hours a week at PacSun

I only recall one poster saying this…..now you have this as “you all”. Check yourself.

I never knew about the heart thing

I just know he was very much in the "I am in great shape and I work out so why should I be afraid of COVID"

I am not accusing you of anything...I am wondering...

would you help your kid hide a body?

I already have one affirmative
