Joe Judge is losing his shit

I think Belichick would disagree. He seems to have been pretty successful with his way or the Highway.
Before him Jimmy Johnson. They could be total dicks when they felt the need. The coach you make it sound like they have to be was Barry Switzer. Those coaches fail more often than not vs. the hard core ones. There is always the Tony Dungy's of the NFL. Which was probably the kindest coach of them all. Also might be the exception to the rule.
Now to your side of the argument. It cant be black & white. Hard ass or too soft. HCs have to be a sort of Psychologist. Some respond better with hardassness & some respond with a pat on the back.
But as as soon (excluding Dungy) a HC is soft he is done in this league.
These players (big names college players) were pampered nowadays from the peanut leagues. They already think they are special (the Haskins of the world) if you cant make them realize they are the lucky ones to be playing this game. You will fail as a HC.
As soon as the players have more pull than the HC the HC is done. As soon as management or the owner allows the players to have more pull the team is done. All these young fucks need the discipline. of course a HC can go over the line. But treating these guys like they are too good to be disciplined is creating a failure. As a HC you make them understand you are in control, not them. Then once you feel you have that. You give them their small win(s). if the HC is not controlling the narrative. Then they are not the HC.

Hell I dont want to talk good of another NFC East HC but Tom Coughlin was an extreme hardass lots of players wished they didnt play for. But they were professionals & they got the results (unfortunately) Weed out the weak I say. Will make the team stronger in the long term.
Blah blah blah blah. I read the first line. So exactly like I said, get guys to believe that you are going to put them in positions to be successful.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where the guy makes everyone call him maestro.
Lmao at Garrett, taking a book out Deion "Coach Prime's" book.

I’m going to show my age….but this used to be one of the ways you built a tough team that could win.

There was clearly disciplinary failures going on on the field. Running as a punishment never sat right with me, but it was something.

It raises the question again though….it’s a game that requires organization and discipline. How is a coach supposed to enforce that is what’s going on as a whole team?
For college teams, maybe. Chip Kelly had a similar style at Oregon, that didn't work out with the Eagles. The pro game gives too much wear-and-tear as it is. Amping up practice like that just probably increases injury risk more than anything. I could see writing more conditions about off-season training into their contracts, though.

Didn't realize this, but Gettleman also talked Kelvin Benjamin back into playing football for the Giants this spring, wanting him to play TE. Apparently Judge decided that Benjamin needed to be 251 to be "fit" enough to be a tight end (Benjamin played WR at almost 270). Benjamin passed his physicals and conditioning tests and was cut after the first day of practice for protesting being fined for being overweight.

told him to lose weight and he showed up even heavier, fuck benjamin.

Lulz.

Judge was here last year. If the culture needed to be changed, it shouldn't be happening in his second camp.
weren't their reports of him being a tool last year too?

Didn't realize they had such a futility streak going at the start of the season.

Never realized Judge was such a whiny cunt till Thursday. Every time the camera was on him he was crying about something

A lot of the times it didn't even make sense to be arguing about something.

Lulz. Gee whiz, 0-3 start with two losses to shitty teams. Didn't see that coming at all.

That is their entire problem right there. Hired an OC to win 2 games against Dallas each year, do nothing in the rest.

Still better than whoever is Philly's OC. Good grief that was a terrible game plan last night.
