I’ve used them before and yes, they can be too overprotective at times. That was my main complaint about them as well. Though I suppose overprotective is better than under, right?

Lots of homebound options for you: crossfit exercises, pilates, yoga, calisthenics...some more reasonable than others based on gear, of course
