That's what I'll be doing over the next few days for my kids, nieces and nephews.
I maybe use 10% (at most) of gifts purchased for me in the last 20 years. They just end up in a cabinet. closet, or the basement as clutter. "Here's some cash, buy what you want/need." I have no idea what a 20 year old wants/needs. Maybe they just want to pay some bills or invest it?

We do a $25 max Dirty Santa for adults.

we usually just exchange booze/gift cards to local eateries

yeah, we've been really scaling back on christmas.

It's a little tougher with my wife's side as they still think we need to exchange all these items

I end up with crap i never use

Yeah, at this point, I legit don't care about getting stuff for Christmas. We still do a gift exchange with my wife's cousin, and I get some small stuff from my in-laws, but I'd rather they spend the money on my kids.

I had gone in for a consultation over the summer, but wifey didn't want me to be out of commission then. Getting snipped next Wednesday. In retrospect, I should have gotten snipped in 2020, since we'd hit our family deductible after Tank was born. I let too much other stuff get in the way, though. Oh well, c'est la vie.

If this is the thing that gets me sent to hell, so be it.

I've used plenty of condoms, wife had been on hormone birth control, and the previous partners we both have had, I doubt having a procedure that keeps her from potentially having a second stroke is the inflection point, at least in regards to my (or hers, for that matter) sexual "misdeeds".
