Been saying this same thing for months.
They brought back indoor mask mandates in Cali, but most businesses seem to be ignoring them. I've started carrying my mask in my pocket so that I have it if I need it.

It's different in bigger cities than it is in other areas. I know a guy, that when he tested positive, he went around a random Kohls coughing on people, and door handles, etc. Normally not a crazy person, but lost his mind. I'll keep mine on me too.
I have also said that my allergies were so much better when I wore it all the time. Started wearing a good mask when cutting the grass as well. Maybe I am pro mask.
Interesting. I’ve done a really good job to try to cultivate reading news from both sides. I just missed it I guess.

Having been in airports more since Covid than in my entire life pre Covid, the masks are brutal when you’re wearing them for 6 hours straight. I didn’t care when doing it during a grocery run but hours of it sucks.

Meh. I have also flown a bit, and it's mildly inconvenient. Brutal is a term I reserve for things that are much more discomforting. Crying dwarfs aren't even brutal, no matter how hard they try.
No shit. I’ve never come close to wearing one as much, or as long, as I did on our trip to Europe last month.
8 hour and 3 hour flights. Masked. I’ve never done this on office visits or store runs, but I was taking it off my nose as much as I could.
It totally sucks.

it’s funny, here in Vegas most people I see are wearing masks. Granted, this is all off strip but most people I see wear a mask and it’s no big deal. I wonder if this is what @Peter Gozintite sees as well?

Hospitals and clinics in this area require masks but they are optional almost everywhere else.

I don't see many not wearing them, but do see about 5 to 10 percent on people not wearing, and that means not a visible mask on them, at a couple things we went to. That enchant light place at the ball park was probably the most people that I saw not wearing them. It was at least 10 to 20% unmasked.
Nobody seemed to be a dick about it either way. I don't care if they aren't wearing one.

our governor is a hypocrite. He’s a big pro mask guy but he threw a party last year where nobody wore a mask. Everyone had to check their phone at the door but word still got out.

Even in mid 2020, it was rare to see anyone wearing a mask any place they weren't required to around here. Only times I've worn a mask were when I got tested for Covid and while getting both rounds of the shot. I'd wear one any place that asked me to because despite my online persona, I'm a pretty agreeable guy IRL, but if I don't have to and the place of business doesn't request them, I don't wear em.

Nope. I survived. Don’t need therapy or alcohol. It just sucked to wear one. And in Europe you wear one indoors, period.
It sucked ass, but I get it.

I don't think it's necessarily being reported as a "spike". But there sure seem to be a lot of vaccinated folks who are catching it. I dont know what qualifies as a spike, but since we are talking about vaccinated people, I doubt it would be reported as such anyway.
I get people questioning it. The narrative around it keeps changing.
First, it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve, that stretched into nearly 2 years and forced a lot of businesses to close and cost a lot of folks their jobs, then, it was a 1 shot vaccine that became a 2 shot vaccine that became a 2 shots and a booster vaccine that now has some saying we will need yearly boosters but could become every 6 months boosters. Masks work, then masks dont work, then they work again but you still need to stay 6 feet apart because they dont work as well as we thought.
and the excuse given is "Well, we're learning new things and we're adapting as things change with this virus". That sounds a helluva lot like "We have no idea what this thing is going to do.,..but hey, here's this new, relatively untested vaccine that we want to inject into you and that may not prevent you from getting it or infecting someone else. But if that happens you might not get it as bad and might not die...but some of you will still get really sick and some of you will still die."
Meanwhile, we are told to listen to doctors and scientists, but only certain doctors and scientists. Some of the same doctors and nurses who, for nearly 2 years, were working on the frontlines during the worst parts of the pandemic and were called heroes for their efforts are now losing their jobs, being ridiculed and called crazy, quacks and Trumptards by folks with no medical training whatsoever because they have their own doubts about the vaccines.
I saw an exchange on here where someone was pondering the vaccine, someone else said they should talk to their doctor. When the poster said that he did and that his doctor had concerns about the vaccine was told...well your doctor is a moron.
All over a virus with a 99% survival rate.
But yeah, no one is supposed to question anything.
