Have some shin-high ones from LL Bean that I use when I'm out running the snow blower.

Have something like this that I normally wear when I'm walking around in civilization and don't expect to have to wade through a foot of snow for long periods of time.

I had these for throwing on and going out in the snow real quick, but the rubber cracked on the toes last winter...got 10 yrs or so out of them

I usually wear my backpacking boots, but for ski trips, you'll find me in Kamik boots. I like them because of the thick inner liner that can be easily removed and dried out.
