I’ve decided that I really don’t like NYE playoff games

The mid afternoon slot that Bama and Cincy have isn’t bad, but UGA is the night cap and there goes any other NYE plans. I’m sure I’ll either have people over or go to somebody’s place to watch the game and get drunk, but I like NYE to be a night to just get trashed and not be really concerned with anything, and if UGA loses the whole night is ruined.

I mean, last year I got in a fight with a bouncer and was banned for life from the most popular bar in the nearest town that has a grocery store. Ain’t gonna be the same this year

You should have said this earlier. Our teams could have traded spots and you could of had the 10:15 eastern time slot on a Tuesday and then enjoyed your NYE

NYE and St Patrick's Day are amateur hour nights. Just stay home and drink like a pro.

I’d probably agree to it. Best case scenario is we get embarrassed by Bama twice within a little over a month
 
I agree.

Move the Outback and Citrus from New Years Day to New Years Eve (to keep it 4 games), and move the two playoff games to the last two games on New Years Day.

I’m neither a rabid college fb fan (though I do watch at least the final) nor am I a big NYE party guy anymore…..but I’ve noticed from the beginning that the semi finals on NYE is just stupid.

Yes, football is king. But, I think ratings could be even better on those games if not on NYE, certainly NYE evening. There just other shit going on.

I think ratings for the night cap will be fine. UGA and Michigan both have huge fan bases and neither has won anything in a long time. Bama-Cincy will probably be record low ratings for a playoff game due to Cincy not having a big fanbase and Bama fatigue throughout the country

That’s if you believe it’s really the fan bases that constitute the ratings. I only say this as a casual fan who’s team hasn’t even been in this spot since the first CFP semi finals. I might want to watch this game between UGA and Michigan, but I’ll have other stuff going on.
