I’ve decided that I really don’t like NYE playoff games

Just a question regarding ratings for any sports.

Omaha has several 'themed' NFL bars (Vikings, Chiefs, Bears, Packers, Broncos) where fans of such teams gather for the games in their cheer jerseys.

How are they counted?

Get off the "grid", record the game, get drunk & do your thing on NYE. Watch the game once you've sobered up.

That's why you get off the grid... If you don't know the outcome, it would be like watching the first time, without commercials or a long halftime. I do it from time to time as I have to work on Saturdays.

I work more Saturdays than not, but I always make it clear I’m getting home before the UGA game. I didn’t really enter the job market until around 2010-2011, so I don’t turn down overtime

Tell everybody at the bar or NYE party not to tell you the outcome? Don't look at any TV's or listen to what's on the speakers at the time?

That's a bit different than being at work.
 
Also, if I were to go somewhere and not watch the game. My FOMO would have me so preoccupied that there’s no way I could enjoy myself
 
If I didn’t already sell my soul for a Braves World Series title, I’d be a little more excited, but you can only sell your soul once, and I loved the Braves before I ever started watching UGA, so they won out. Neither are capable of winning on their own

the Braves are winners, UGA is coached by a guy named Kirby

I'm old and washed now so I say let the NYE CFP games continue.

I would have jumped clear of the 4 wheeler like I did every time I wrecked one growing up, plus it would have been less top heavy and less likely to lay over

gotcha, so are you in the club phase? or bar phase? By the time I was like 24, my wife and I just celebrated NYE at house parties with friends

Now we pass out waiting for the ball drop on TV.. and just make mimosas with the champagne the next morning for breakfast :(

I rarely go to bars. I’m a house party kind of guy. Really, I work too many hours to be a club or bar regular
