I’ve decided that I really don’t like NYE playoff games

I’m with you on Thanksgiving, probably my favorite holiday, but after being married for almost 20 years and having 2 kids, New Years is meh. Usually just around the house drinking with my neighbors.
Living in the country is not conducive to drinking in a bar or going to someone else’s house.

trash came by and I went to bring it back to my yard.. Neighbor told me that they are all planning to set up outside Friday night, cruise in their golf carts and pop fireworks in the cul de sac. Invited me to join and to make sure it was cool that it would get noisy at midnight.


I'll still probably pass out on my couch :(

Nope. Used to get Good Friday off, but it was traded for the Friday after Thanksgiving.

That’s it. We did get an extra day for Christmas this year, but not sure if that’s gonna be permanent
 
Email the CFP and see if they will move the game!

Your work is worse than mine. We at least get MLK and Presidents day off. We don’t get NYE off this year, but since I work from home it’s not a big deal either way.
 
So, I've been told the SEC is no good.... Don't bother watching Georgia get DESTROYED by Michigan. Get drunk on NYE, don't stress yourself out & pray that in the New Year that Kirby takes the Falcon job.

Only reason we get NYE off this year is because New Years Day is on a Saturday

IF any UGA fans want Kirby gone for not beating Bama, I wish to point out that if they replace him with the active CFB coach with the most proven sucess against Saban they will be welcoming Gus to Athens. It will be an epic screwup to get rid of Kirby.

You’re not the only one that thinks this and I still haven’t heard a valid excuse why they don’t move them.

The excuse that comes closest is that many people don’t get Jan 1 off but that doesn’t fly if you make it a night game.

Move the playoffs to Jan 1st and move the other bowls in that time slot around.

If Kirby doesn’t win a natty and beat Saban in the process in his career, I don’t care if he wins 10 straight natties after Saban retires, he’s not gonna have any kind of a legacy. Richt beat Saban and Meyer in the same year

Arthur Smith isn’t gonna be one and done for the Falcons. He’s won 7 games with a 2 win roster. Has a real shot at 8 wins too and is technically still alive for a playoff spot. This team should be in contention for the first overall pick, but they’re playing a meaningful game in week 17
