Wednesdy, December 29

I never dieted. Never had to. Just worked out and burned a lot of calories like a lot of people. Now I have to diet. It gives me something to do. Give me goals to set etc…

I was really inspired by this short video by Arnold (who I also read a lot about) where he talks his diet, and how he never needed a lot of food. 3 eggs and some bacon for breakfast. A normal sized 10 oz steak for lunch. Chicken breast and vegetables for dinner etc…says he would eat 5 times a day, his 3 meals plus 2 protein shakes a day. The goal is to get 1 gram of protein per lb (so if you’re 200 lbs, 200 grams a protein per day).

I try really hard to follow that same routine. I’m pretty strict, not as strict as I could be though. I’m real motivated to stay lean (190-200 range) so I’m getting more disciplined as time goes on.

You gonna add anabolic steroids to your diet as well?

No. Anabolic steroids make your muscles grow, including your heart. That’s why a lot of pro bbs who used and abused them died young in their 50’s from enlarged hearts. I’m sure Arnold took some test, maybe some dball and Deca too in his day, but I never took him for a big abuser. Most guys back then (when steroids were legal) were taking test in low dosages.

Stuff got really crazy later on in the 90’s w Andreas Munzer dying and later Nasser El Son Boty. You read their autopsies and it’s just insane.

Recently Rich Piazza died and it was the same thing. These guys were all alien freaks. Just took as many drugs as they could until they died. Gross.

Arnold (and a lot of guys back then) had a true love and appreciation for weight lifting. Real preceptors to the sport. I connect to that mindset versus the steroid muscle head culture.

Arnie used steroids, bro.

You don't get to look like that without them.

Like I said, when they were legal, those guys used test. You can absolutely look similar without steroids, just not at 240 lbs. Those guys also only look like that for a few hours during competition due to last minute water shedding using diuretics. It’s a very temporary competition look being that ripped.

I had a lot of buddies who did this stuff too, competed on stage etc… was never my thing. Not a druggie. Just enjoyed lifting.

Looks like I’m going to get all through December without having to shovel/plow the driveway.

Had to do the walk once. Only used 1 bag of salt so far this season.

Blah blah blah. Blah blah

Good move. Eagles fans shouldn't be allowed to procreate anyway.
I view it more of a "can't get gold dug by some 25-year old masseuse named Becca in 10 years" more than that, since I already spawned 2 Eagles fans.

Who?

we had no money in high school and we knew the cars were junk, so it was more just something fun to do when we weren't toying around with the stereo system.

speaking of which, that would be my next upgrade in my truck...time to get rid of the CD player if I can.
most ghetto thing, my brothers gf brother built him a box for a subwoofer out of a dresser drawer. that shit banged. i think i was the one to first utilize it in the trunk of the car after my friend wired it up

What did I miss? No phone reception at work today plus it's been busy. Tomorrow should slow the craziness down. Had the viewing today of our friends' grandson. Puts life in perspective for you real quick. Feel awful for his older brother and younger sister. They had been through a lot together before this. Heartbreaking is an understatement.

@RoyMunson what is up with how people drive in Nashville?

Like they don't literally give a fuck.

my friend with the biggest system listened to some terrible music...so it was a total loss.
