I love that Michigan did this

They do........it's not logic, it's a fact.
They DID. They DO NOT now. Last football title for Yale was 100+ years ago.

A fact is that they have won the championships. Saying a team wins a championship all the time, when they haven't won in 100+ years is not a fact.

That is our elementary school english class for today. :)

The sport is dramatically different from 10 years ago now. So I don't see how that's a good argument. Kickoffs have all been but eliminated, you can't touch QB's now, big hits are not celebrated it's targeting
There is an ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE between the changes made now and the game that was played in the 1900's. UM had a national title before the forward pass was "invented". Players didn't wear helmets. African Americans weren't allowed to play. Etc, etc.

It is nice to have all those championships, but do not say, we are always winning championships, because it hasn't been true in like a century in football. And i'm a Michigan fan.

The ONLY school who can say they win national championships all the time in today's game is Alabama. That is it.

Nope. Always said it. We’d rather go 1-11 if it means beating OSU.
No you wouldn’t.

And Brady Hoke sure did his darndest in helping that. He’d lose what 5, 6,7 games a season after that first year but you guys usually played the bucks tough.

They fired him after year 4.

Don’t bother, he’s probably three sheets to the wind on White Claw and trolling.

You talking about the going away present they gave Tom Osborne after his players were begging for votes in interviews in 1997?

Michigan and Nebraska had 2 common opponents in 1997 -- Colorado and Baylor. Michigan beat them by a combined 65-6 score. Nebraska gave up 45 points to those two teams and needed a late 4th quarter stop to beat Colorado by 3.

But never let go of 1997, because it will most likely be the last time Nebraska sniffs a national title, unless they move the school out of the state with zero in state talent.
Lol. 14 of Baylor’s points were garbage points in 4th quarter including one TD as time expired. Colorado entire season was about beating Nebraska. Not even really comparable.

It’s too bad Michigan were giant pussies and had to play In the Rose Bowl and could only barely beat Washington State. Nebraska destroyed #3 Tennessee. Lol at the media people that cast their votes before all the games were finished. Michigan and the Big 10 hid from the Bowl Alliance and what could have been #1 Vs #2. Pussy schools don’t deserve their fake 1/2 Championship

Fair, but only because they aren't in the same division anymore. Michigan is, and within the last 25 years has won, and is currently in line to be one of 4 to win one this year. So my statement stands.

I would

Awwww .... isn't that cute ... Nebraska shared that "Fake: Championship with us.
Too bad Michigan was scared and hid in the Rose Bowl and wouldn’t play Nebraska to prove it. Destroying #3 Tennessee >>>>> Barely beating #8 Washington State

I agree with the last sentence. The rest I don't. Every 10-15 years the game dramatically changes.

I don't care ... wasn't that a quarter of a century ago? Who questions a gift that long ago? If it wasn't for Nebraska fans still whining about it, I wouldn't even know.

Nebraska shouldn't have even been in the conversation.

Why ? Nebraska was Undefeated, had 2 one score games, Michigan had 4. Nebraska won by more points on average than Michigan. Who else should have been there ?

Nebraska would’ve beat the shit out of those overrated Wolverines. Too bad Michigan was scared and hid against a lesser opponent in the Rose Bowl.

I don’t know. I got more satisfaction when the Braves beat the Dodgers in the NLCS than I did when they won the WS. I hate the Dodgers more than any other team in sports, pro or college.

If somehow UGA beats Michigan and Cincy upsets Bama and UGA wins the natty that way, it’s gonna feel pretty damn hollow and incomplete
yeah beating the Dodgers was epic

and tbh, when the Braves did that they saved America.

Michigan beat 2 non-conf opponents, both at home. Nebraska beat 2 in-conf opponents, both on the road.

Apples and oranges.

Michigan is, and within the last 25 years has won

No, they didn't.

Lol. You know how you said you would go 1-11 if the 1 win was Vs Ohio State ? That’s how it was for Colorado Vs Nebraska. All Colorado cared about was beating Nebraska and ruining their season. Also Michigan was home and Nebraska was at Colorado.

I don't care if OSU is winless. I just want to beat OSU.
