Exactly. If they show up and they're better than everyone and aren't competing for a spot, it takes a pretty special player to continue to get better. If they're handed the spot and nobody is pushing them, too many get complacent.

It's the prima donna factor that kills alot of them when they get some real competition.

So many of them have been coddled & not really pushed.
