Years ago I said a CFB playoff would ruin bowl season

How is that any different than..... always?

Sometimes coaches stay for their bowls and sometimes they don't.

If you can't see that early coaching changes have become much more prevalent since the change, then you're either blind or stupid.

ESD is causing coaching changes and putting bowl games into disarray?

Firings, money and an alma mater is what caused the early coaching changes and bowl disarray. The one here that's either blind or stupid is you.

Ok, so your final answer is stupid.

Thanks for letting the rest of us know, dumbass.

If it comes down to cutting the bowl games or the CFP, trash the CFP. In retrospect, I enjoyed the arguments about who won the batty than the CFP games.

Early Signing Day is worse for CFB than the CFP.

Everybody's playing by the same rules tho. I see no advantage for anyone.

If a coach can't figure out how to win within those parameters, then find a coach who can.

Hint.... There will only be 3 or 4 at best in a generation that can put all the pieces together on a consistent basis.

It's not about advantage/disadvantage. It's about forcing early coach turnover and bowl games in disarray instead of teams waiting until after bowl season.

Nebraska fired Pelini in 2014 because ESD ... Oh wait ESD didn't exist
Florida fired Muschamp in 2014 because ESD.... Oh wait
Michigan fired Hoke in 2014 because ESD... Oh wait

Number of coaching changes pre ESD...
22 (2008), 23 (2009), 24 (2010), 28 (2011), 31 (2012), 20 (2013), and 15 (2014)

Some of those teams replaced their coaches before bowl games, some after.
Some of those coaches remained at their school until after their bowls, some didn't.

Opt outs, Covid, and typical seasonal coaching changes is what put 2021 bowl games into disarray. Not ESD.

The frequency of coaches being fired/hired before the end of bowl season has increased dramatically since ESD.

You've already identified yourself as a moron, but feel free to keep digging.

You have a mental disorder. It's shoot from the hip empty rhetoric without examples of this so called "dramatic increase".

Coaches have historically been fired after their last regular season game. Not after the bowl season.

Heck, give me 10 examples of FBS head coaches fired after the bowl season between 2010 and 2016.

Ron Zook was fired by Florida in Oct 2004. They let him finish the regular season but that was it. Charlie Strong coached the bowl game as interim.

Regarding mid-season firings, they've been on the downtick since ESD began in 2017.
There were 5 this season where 2014 and 2015 (pre-ESD) had 4 each.
Post ESD: 2017 and 2018 had 2 each. 2019 had just 1. 2020 had zero. Actually decreased for the first 4 years post ESD.

But were not even talking about mid-season firings are we? We're talking about coaches being fired after bowl season, right?

Your turn!!!

The answer for opt outs is simple. Have an anonymous source claiming to be an NFL team executive tip off Mel Kiper and Todd McShay and say that skipping bowl games has a negative impact on draft postion. Speaks to character issues.

You're welcome.
But… it obviously doesn’t, and never will. No one in the NFL gives a shit. They probably prefer their draft targets sit out at that point.
