off the top of my head Ryan leaf comes to mind. There are several former players who have been convicted of serious sex crimes. Others recently were guilty of fraud to the tune of millions of dollars.

edit: darren sharper drugged and raped women. IMO that’s human garbage. A guy who calls himself Mr Big Chest and uses the the name Ronald Ocean isn’t garbage. You didn’t have a club name? Back in the day, my buddies I hung around with asked me if I used protection with women. I said “yes… I use a fake name”.

how did Ryan leaf “only hurt himself”?

he was arrested and convicted on burglary charges. He was also arrested for domestic violence. His drug offenses are like the 5th worse thing he’s done.

Dude had his ass kissed pretty much 24/7 throughout his formative years, and never had someone put him in his place.

He just had multiple opportunities to show his ass because he has elite talent. A lot of the other asshole players in the league are gone before their first contract expires because they aren't that talented.

This guy is 100% expecting to get another job, because he's always gotten another chance.

i agree. I’ll add this. He has always gotten his ass kissed but bc he was a late round pick he REALLY got his ass kissed when he got to the NFL. Add in tens of millions of dollars and zero accountability and you have the perfect recipe for a spoiled man-child.

I could easily see Russell Wilson moving on from Seattle and saying to a perspective team “sign AB and I’ll sign with you”. To a lesser degree I could see Aaron Rodgers doing that as well.
