LOL ... I am not missing any point. I am simply laughing at an Auburn fan whose team has had an "unfair" advantage by cheating and paying players as long as I have followed CFB who is now whining because the payments are above the table. Players were already auctioning themselves, and your team often won the auction. Scam Newton immediately comes to mind.

I have no idea where NIL is going, but it going exactly where I said it would go a year before they started legalizing it. This shouldn't catch anyone by surprise. I don't know that I like it, but I know better than to fight it or complain about it. It is what it is, just like the cheating was. Just hope my school gets really good at it, which I expect them to do.

As for UGA, please look at my initial post to you ... I openly admitted that my team has a bagman - I don't know that for a fact, but I'd be shocked and disappointed if we didn't. So, again, not bent, just pointing out the irony of an Auburn fan being worried about players getting paid when you've been doing it forever.
Yes you are missing the point because you seem not to be able to grasp that we aren't simply bringing into the light what was already happening and what is going on is on another planet.

Cam Newton doesn't even enter the equation because there was no transfer portal so it's apples to oranges.

As I've said I have no issue with NIL but there needs to be a contractual commitment to receiving the money. Chewy is joking when he said he wanted a QB to quit midseason and start from another team because that is absurd but how far are we from a kid quitting a team and sitting out because a rival has a NIL deal waiting for him next year.

How much in NIL money do you think Georgia could raise if Bryce Young would sit out the national championship game and transfer to UGA next year? That is an extreme case that wouldn't happen but that is the direction we are headed right now because this whole new system was very ill-conceived. Once again if the NFL had no salary cap and unlimited free agency it would irrevocably harm the league and that is exactly the type of situation they have started to create.

Keep NIL, keep the portal but lets put limits and rules in place to make sure this shit doesn't get out of hand and destabilizes the sport.

LMAO
Caleb Williams is soft. Sure pay that wannabe 1-2 million

Fucking transfer portal needs to be tightened up. There should be specific windows for when players can transfer

Then call me a commie. They are ruining CFB

Well you can count on a QB from Ohio St to do that shit soon. Because all their whiny bitches instantly want to transfer if they dont start

Wow! If the Oklahoma haters got $10 for every time they masturbated about OU's problems, what color would their Ferraris be?

probably not as much as you would be paying Texas...

Whoever gets him is looking at program history material. He has that potential no matter where he goes.

We don't seem to have problems yet of finding decent QB talent.

Drumm said that they are also talking to Casey Thompson

I'm starting to wonder what is going to happen with him. I have been pretty adamant that he isn't coming to USC...but all of the talk show folks and the people they interview are saying that he should go to USC because of the money Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts are getting in the NFL because of Riley developing them.

Basically they are saying that USC isn't going to get into an NIL bidding war with anyone, but that he'd be smart to go there because of Riley.

I still think he goes to Jawja or Auburn, but it's an interesting take.

*Miami?

Maybe that would get some asses in those seats for Miami games. If not, I doubt he wants to play in 15% full stadium.

Is Miami still providing free blo and ho?
the stadium might not be full but there's money from alumns there for the taking for sure.. plus it's Miami.. where he normally throws and workouts with NFL receivers in the off season

Caleb wants to go somewhere with quarterback development. Well......

Lebby's resume.

2019 UCF 5th in total offense with true freshman QB
2020 Ole Miss. 8th in total offense. OU was 19th.
2021 Ole Miss 7th in Total Offense..... OU was 17th. ~avg 500 yds per game..... in the SEC.

No, he doesn't.
He's a hired gun. He's out for the money and isn't interested in any school
He will stay at whatever school he transfers to for a year, then do this shit all over again.

Adios

I'm pretty sure these guys can only do it once (without having to sit out a year).

Hoping this all dies down next season.
