Does your state have legalized sports betting?

Georgia doesn’t and probably will be the last state to legalize it, which I think is stupid. A lot of revenue being left on the table. No casinos in the state either, so they’re just content to let all that money go to NC, FL and MS instead of keeping it here.

It’s not a big deal to me personally. I have a bookie I use, and would continue to use even if the state legalized it because I don’t want to pay taxes on my winnings, but I just think being behind Mississippi and West Virginia is a bad look
 
Apparently we are getting online betting sometime this year (maybe it was Jan 1). I think they gave it to the Native Americans here. It past based on how much the revenue would help the schools. Same tact they took with the lottery 30 years ago…it doesn’t really help schools much.

I won’t go to a sports book, but I am damn interested in online sports books. Can’t come quick enough.

texas will be last. too much money from LA is being put into our politicians pockets right now to keep it out.

The bookie I use is through a website, though whenever one of us owes, I just go to his house and either drop off or pick up

I’m far enough inland to not have to worry about hurricanes. You’ll get some that have been downgraded to tropical storms/depressions come through from time to time, but most they’re gonna do is knock power out for maybe a day, and I have a generator
 
Nope. Wont go back on the ballot until 2024.

Im just saying it’s a nice play to live. Fresh water, legalized weed and gambling etc…no major weather issues to deal with. The winter is cold but it’s nice hibernating for a couple of months anyways.

I once got stuck in the stairwell of an office building in Buckhead in August on a 100 degree day. 10 floors up and every door from floors 10 down to 2 were locked. Absolute nightmare.

I was in ATL for 2 weeks for work. First day we met on the 10th floor. Day 2 we were supposed to meet on the 9th floor but I forgot. Took the elevator to the 10th floor. Realized my mistake, decided to take the stairs down to 9. Easy, right?

Nope.

Door on 9 is locked. 8 is locked, 7 is locked. I’m panicking. 6, 5 and 4 all locked. I’m drenched in sweat by now trying to come up with a story about why I’m about to pull the freaking fire alarm. 3, 2 locked…get all the way down to 1 and it opens. I took the elevator back up to 9 just covered in sweat looking like a total idiot.
