Could not agree more with this. This time we will see how good a coach Dabo is. Saban has adjusted and dealt with staff turnover for years more than anyone. Kirby and UGA have been getting hit with it a lot recently.

I don't like Dabo that much but everyone already writing him off is funny. He went 10-3.. coming off a CFB appearance. Like what makes you think he lost it? You don't think this team heading into next season can't win the ACC.. or have just 1 loss, setting themselves up for a CFP appearance?

The coach is giving the direction on what kids he wants, and what he will allow to get them.

I'm not writing him off, but I do see him as unwilling to get dirty and with NIL you have to get dirty.

Yep they say who they want and if they are for sale.. if the kid likes money, they make sure they can outbid them all

BTW man, this talk of 30 mil is crazy.. Heard that the highest paid one was Nolen and that was 500k. Not sure why that ou247 staff made up numbers.. makes them look soft

bro, they do play the game.. which is what all the church references are referred to.. It's like the Bates hire. He obviously has skins, but the joke was "Can he bring the church with him?"

Yep. IIRC, ALL the assistants were cleared and daddy Briles even got a check out of them...which was real a real :headscratch:. All the assistants even stayed on when Groe was the interim.

It's not just that they lost staff, it's that they weren't good at football this year and then lost staff.

You can’t give an NIL deal to a kid that hasn’t signed, so the whole thing was BS.. it’s wasn’t NIL deals

Nobody is writing him off. The narrative is that Clemson got hit hard, there are some similarities to what happened to FSU, and turning it around is going to be the true test if he is an elite coach.

That simple.

What counts as an Elite coach. We currently have Saban and ....
Dabo has taking over a program that hadn't done much in the prior 20 years before he took over. He was the one to put the staff and players together to create the run they had going, there's not a very long list of HCs I would take to put a staff together.

With that said, I do agree Dabo is stubborn and he's needs to get with the transfer portal
