morning all

quiet night last night, just chilled in the house. Was rainy and cold so just made some burgers in the house.

You have a memory like an elephant. It’s what the kid wanted to go see. Luckily I don’t hate that city, even in it degrading state.

I didn't hate it, outside of Times Square. I'd get mad just walking through it if we were going that way for lunch.

Times Square was a sign last spring of it not being as nice as it was when the Missus and I were there. That place is always a shit show and a trap with every step. But those traps (grifters really) were SOOOO much worse last time we were up there. Aggressive, pushy and confrontational

Who knows….maybe the new mayor is already cracking down on that shit.

We will be staying close to Times Square but I’ve already made it clear I’m not crazy about going through there.

I didn't go up into Times Square when I was there. Just being on the edge of it is enough for me.

I noticed a LOT more pot smoking going on in the city. Other than that, and the much reduced train capacity on NJT, I didn't notice any massive difference. The guys who I talk to in the city did say that Times Square had gotten worse with panhandlers.
 
bought a pair of Blundstone boots...let's see if they feel alright from a flat foot perspective
