Stir Friday

I have been so fucking busy lately. I dont understand all these people buying houses right now. The prices are are sky high, and there is bound to be a correction soon. Oh well, Its always feast or famine for me, so I'm grubbing like a motherfucker right now.

extremely low interest rates

Oh, when it rains, it pours. The refrigerator I ordered Labor Day arrived damaged, so I had to reject the delivery, and hopefully can schedule a replacement to be delivered on a day I'm available to accept. Got to put everything back into the old/current refrigerator and do the dance again.

cheap mortgage rates, doe
I mean I get that, but who gives a shit if you're going to loose a third or more of your equity? I would rather pay a little more interest, and do a 15 year loan, than buy a house for an amount that I can't sell it for, for 10 years.

Look, I dont know whats going to happen, but there is NO FUCKING WAY the real estate market isnt going to affected negatively at some point soon.

Is there a fucking echo in here?

Im hoping to be in the market to buy in 1-2 years. Part of me wants it to come back to earth a little with reasonable prices. But my job is also heavily influenced by a good market.

Low interest rates!
So I get a 350k loan, for 3.5, or 3.25%, and then in a year the house is valued at 275K. You could have bought that same house for 75k less, even if the interest rates are a little higher, but you are paying on a lesser amount of a loan.

Me too. I am actually looking into getting a couple of contracting licenses, just so I can have something to fall back on. I have seen this movie before, and it end in me being fucked.

Pro move standing your ground and refusing the delivery.
May the first cold as F Beer you get out of your eventually delivered new refrigerator taste like victory.

slept through the first 15 minutes of my 8am meeting

Luckily my client knows me good enough to wait.

Good morning good people. Still trying to bust my wife out of the rehab clinic. I had a major confrontation with the administrator yesterday, and she lied and told me, my wife could leave anytime she wanted. That turned out to be false. She needs to have a Covid test before she goes, and they don't have any at the clinic. Then she had someone call my house yesterday and said I could now visit her. My wife called me back and she said that the nurse told her, I could visit her but not without a Covid test of my own. The person that called me never said that. Anyone want to storm the Bastille.

To make matters worse, she was sent there for rehab, which is now closed due to Covid. So the place is basically just open to suck money out of Medicare.

Football was shitty last night, but I did enjoy the Lakers game. Miami and Jacksonville, come on. Can't even remember the college teams. Let's hope for better this weekend.

Thought for the day: I just realized that people who are always happy, drive people crazy.

Did it take them 15 minutes to notice?

Or 15 minutes to wake you up?
