Which leads to a question.... What percentage of players are transferring for NIL money as compared to those transferring for a better chance at playing time?
No doubt both are a factor.

I would say that getting more playing time is likely the initial reason, figuring that more playing time will get them NIL money. From there, NIL money likely becomes a bigger consideration, if not the biggest.

His anger is misplaced. The transfer portal isn't the issue, the way it is set up is the issue. Also, players following their coach and recruits flipping to other schools to go with a coach who recruited them, has been going on for as long as coaches have been leaving for other schools.

The only difference now is that the portal makes it easier for them to do and the NIL lets them blame money.

I'd say the same about the NIL. The NIL itself, is a concept that is probably overdue. The problem is that right now, it looks like there really aren't any rules outside of the money can't come from the schools.

It isn't officially official, but Darnell Washington is transferring. Wally Pipp'd by Brock Bowers.
