What do you think about your team’s chances in 2022?

that is not what Oregon fans think
Oregon finished with the 72nd ranked defense
what Oregon fans think and hope for is an improved defense.
OD said he can't wait for Lanning to bring Georgia's defense to Oregon. That's why I used Oregon as an example.

Thats Good Enough For Me Season 1 GIF by Twin Peaks on Showtime

I think the offense could be even better than 2021, but the defense is very likely to take a step back. Schedule looks much easier than 2021 with PSU/MSU at home and no Wisconsin, but road games at Iowa and OSU are going to be very tough. I think 10 wins is very obtainable.

Of course, this could get very weird fast if Harbaugh does jettison for the NFL.

They have been going life and death with some teams they have no business being able to do that in the Big12. Nevermind everyone else.
Hey thief, is Sark taking a page from Saban about being a refuge for fired head coaches? Scuttlebutt is Coach Hitch'em Up is headed to the Austin music scene.

Patterson in Burnt Orange?

yeah, he was at the basketball game last night wearing a UT pull over. It's probably the worst kept secret.

Bama will win the National Title. Only 2 other seasons I’ve made this guarantee was 2015 & 2020.

I would be shocked if we don’t go 15-0. Only team that I see maybe keeping it closer than 2 TDs would probably be UGA but they are losing a lot on defense and in 2 games this year we moved the ball at Will on them with a weaker offense and then having one of their better defenses.
I am curious why you conclude this. Don't get me wrong, you guys are going to be good, and you always get the benefit of the doubt and you will be pre-sea5on no. 1. But, moved the ball at will? We held you to 18 points, and 100 yards less than your average in the final game. Bryce had a bad game, due to the pressure we put on him. We will lose a lot on D, but like you we replace players with 5* all over the place.

I am genuinely curious ... tell me where I am wrong on this:

- QB - obviously you guys are ahead on that Bryce v. Stet favors you.
- RB - I am going to go even here, but only because we both have injuries, a lot of talent that needs to be proven. I think we have a little edge here.
- OL - we both lose a few really good OL, you guys Neal, us Salyer. But, we have 3 starters coming back, and nothing but high level 5* to step in. How do you guys look replacing OL?
- WR - this is interesting ... for proven talent, we have the better room. But, Burton may transfer from us to you, and you guys have the higher recruits if they develop. Even if you have the better room, it won't be by much unless some of your guys grow into Ruggs, Smith Waddle types.
- TE - this will be us, and not close. Bowers will be 1st team AA, and if Washington stays he will be beast. Problem is he might transfer to you guys.

Our O will be better next year than this, and it was it was really good this year. Stetson will start at QB1, but Brock Vandagriff could beat him out if Stet doesn't continue to improve.

While we lose a ton on D, we got lucky and our 2 edges, leading sackers are back. We played 22-27 D players each game, so we have lots of people with experience. Most are 5* talent. We return a Safety, Star and CB that are 4th, 5th, and 2nd year guys. So 5 of 11 are coming back which is pretty good. We will not be generationally good like we were this year, no doubt. But if you think we are going to take a big step back, you'll be surprised.

You guys get Will back, which is huge. And TooToo and Battle. Just not sure what else you have and if the talent you have coming on is as good as ours.

On STs, we lose our punter who was huge ... he flipped the field continually.

I want an civil and honest discussion ... I am interested in your thoughts as you clearly know your team and players way better than I do. Would love to see what you gumps think.

Daniels and Beck were always as good as gone.

I really hope Bennett decides to end his playing days on top.

We're still in the hunt for Caleb Williams, and if he doesn't come, it's time to start the Vandagriff/Stockton era.
Agree that JTD and Beck have been long gone. The only thing that would have kept JTD would have been if Stet had decided to leave.

I hope the same for Bennett ... that he wins his second NC and departs a two time NC.

Williams is heading to USC ... that he was coming to UGA was always a rumor. Stetson ain't coming back with the idea that Caleb comes to UGA. Vandagriff and Stockton and will compete for QB2 and QB3. We might take a another scholly QB, but it won't be someone who will be QB1, IMO.

Bama was held to a mere 4.7 yards per play (their season average was 6.5). Yeah, Bryce threw for for 369 yards... but it took him 57 pass attempts to do so. Bama averaged 8.9 yards per pass attempt on the season and they were held to 6.5. As for the running game... they had 30 yards on 28 runs. Even when you remove sacks, they had 73 yards on 24 carries... 3.0 YPC is still not effective.

Bama may have fared better than most of UGA's opponents did, but they still got shut down.

Caleb announced top 2 - LSU and USC. We've never been in per the UGA pay sites. Too pricy.

Return 9 starters on defense from the NCG plus add transfer All-American transfer Eli Ricks.

Offense returns Heisman Winner Bryce Young, Our best running back from last year, Jace McClellan returns from injury and plus we add Jahmyr Gibbs. OL returns 3 starters and has 2 5 star sophomores ready to step in to the other 2 spots. Reciever doesn’t have much experience but they are extremely talented and we are probably the favorites to add Jermaine Burton.

Lastly, this was by far our weakest team since Saban got us rolling in 2008. And we played the National Champs twice…ran them off the field the first time…. And not that it matters cause I will never use injury as an excuse (because we definitely benefitted from it against Texas in 09) but If Williams and Metchie don’t get hurt we probably win the National Title with this very mediocre football team(by Bama Standards)

So congrats on your Natty, y’all were clearly the best team all season and earned it…..but 2022 Bama returns a lot and will be motivated. I will be shock if they don’t win it all.

Thanks for the feedback. Clearly the national press and the oddsmakers agree with you. After I do some more looking into it, I may run some things by you.

I appreciate the whole injury thing, but I wish you guys would stop with that. First, as you point out you may have 1 more NC because of injury and I am sure you hated each time Texas fans said that. Second, I can run through the list of injuries we had and what our team would be like if we didn't have season-ending injuries/losses. We'd have been a different and way better team, too. Injuries are part of game - we had WRs ready to go to replace our injuries, you guys didn't. I was really surprised by your lack of experienced depth at that position. The way you recruit, the idea that a single player going down should be a difference (other than QB) is a reflection on the coaching strategy.

A too early look at all teams leads me to believe it will be Bama, UGA, tOSU (if they can get the D and LOS better), and I am not really sure after that. OU is going to be down. USC won't be ready that fast. Oregon has a lot of turnover on a team that wasn't that good. Clemson will be interesting, but unless Ukelelee steps up his game they have problems. And they simply have roster management issues out the wazzou. I am just not sure who that 4th team will be.

For us, it's just tough to repeat. Very few ever have and Satan, the GOAT, with the dynasty of all times has just done it once. It's fucking hard to do.

We are very lucky to have a very easy schedule - Oregon basically home game, we get AU and UTjr at home. Have to go to Ky for our toughest road game. UF has a new coach who may be better than MuLLLLen, but he's going to have a tough time turning it around that fast. Going to the the cow bells at MSU may be a trap game ... the Pirate always scares me.

Ole Miss might be getting JT and Burton.. Lane met both today and it seems like they are a package deal
