I know pretty much the entire Rivals Michigan staff jumped to On3. I actually really like the site design compared to Rivals. I think the information is prevented way better. The question is, are they better than 247? Because Rivals was king in recruiting until 247 jumped them with the "composite rankings". Scout died. ESPN is mostly dead and now On3 is here. But I've started looking at On3 just because of how they present the composite ranking information

True, i get it for free anyways.. TFB is the best, they sprinkle in a lot of sooner news because, it started as a sooner insider. They just started to also cover UT in the recent years

I know for UT fans, IT is pretty much it, they have taken a huge chunk of the horns247 site. And OB is still as big as it is because of it's older crowd that have been with them since the late 90s.

I am a recruitnik and I don't say that. I've seen objective evaluations of the the recruiting sites, comparing to NFL draft picks. Rivals and 247 are neck and neck. That's objective, not some subjective BS because you got kicked off their site. ESPN is the one that is really bad. Each site has some terrible people - Woody at Rivals is pretty bad. But others are quite good. ON3 stole Jake Reuse from Rivals, and he is a good one. He would tell you how great the people at Rivals are. ON3 will take time to get their network setup, but Terry will because he has done it before. And he will then sell it again.

I am a UGA fan, so I interact with them way more than you do. The first thing is that if someone is actually getting their panties in a wad because 247 sucks, or Rivals blows, they are the idiots. They both have advantages. 247 allows you to read other team sites. Huge advantage. Rivals, at least if UGA, has a way deeper staff who is more connected than 247 (hell, one of their staff is an ex head UGA football coach, and ESPN announcer, who has lined up podcasts of Dabo, Herbie, Lou Holtz, Rece Davis, Fowler, etc. that gets to go to practices and things access others don't get). That isn't to put down 247, as Rusty and his gang also have great connections to UGA and Georgia. That's why most people who are rational say I pay for both and get information from both. Except for the daily podcast, which is great, DawgNation does not have the depth the other 2 do and it's why it's not a pay site. That said, I listen to their podcast every day. Rivals has the best Insiders ... there are at least 3-5 posters who very carefully post who are directly involved with the team in some capacity ... they post with full knowledge of Smart ... I think it is there way of controlling the bad that can happen with wild rumors.

lol i didn't get kicked out since I don't pay for any.. and i have a pass whenever I need to get into rivals thanks to my friend who is a legacy member there.. but i never need to use it cause it's shit. there's reasons why nobody uses the stupid rivals 6 plus star ranking.

247 does go out on a limb a bit more because they give out 32, 5 stars every cycle (based off the NFL 32 1st rd picks). I'm sure Rivals would do the same thing if most of those kids attended it's Adidas camp, though...

FFS, you always act like you know what you are talking about when you most often don't. First, only idiots say I hate Rivals and love 247. The UGA Rivals and 247 site are both great. They are both independently run businesses. One schools site can be great, the other not great. Many schools have no sites worth a shit. But to act like 247 is better than Rivals, or vice versa is pure idiocy.

As for their scale, whether it's on a scale of 5.0 - 6.1 or a scale of 100 doesn't matter, so long as it allows you to make demarcations between players of different levels. Rivals works just fine, and has for years. Like I said, many objective evaluations that 247 and Rivals is vastly superior to ESPN but not against each other. The reason no one uses that scale is that they were there first, and when Terry sold it and started 247 he had to use something different.

For someone who purports to know a lot about recruiting, your posting indicates you really don't. This from someone who does really know a lot about recruiting. Admittedly, way too much.

Listen dumbass, like I said each of the Rivals sites is self-owned. I assure you that UGASports.com is incredibly profitable. You are the one that keeps making huge generalizations about the umbrella groups. If you read my posts - where I stated the good and bad about Rivals and 247, then you have a reading comprehension problem.

As for their rankings, objective evaluations have shown them to be equally reliable as 247. That or Thief who says they suck balls. SMH.

Who said I listen to Farrell? On the UGA site there is a collective moan when Farrell says something about UGA ... sort of a jinx type of thing. I actually don't think he's all that bad, but if you think that's where I get all my information you are crazy. One of us us members of multiple sites and gets info from all over the place. The stated he isn't a paying member of any of them.
