What do you think about your team’s chances in 2022?

I just know a walk on QB outplayed their 5 star, the go ahead TD was caught by a 3 star true freshman(hell, all 3 of the 4th quarter TDs were scored by freshmen), another walk on was playing safety, and Jordan Davis was a 3 star. Hell, Jermaine Burton was a 5 star on some of the services and he's transferring because some 3 star white freshman named Ladd McConkey was outperforming him on the season.
He did? Young threw for 370 yards without arguably the best WR in CFB most of the game and without their #2 WR for the entire game. If Bama didn't have Young -- the game would have been a blowout. Bama couldn't run the ball, so they became one dimensional.

Georgia had the best defense in all of CFB. Young threw for almost 800 yards in 2 games.

Definitely. Young only found the endzone at all because of a bullshit fumble call and an even more bullshit roughing the passer call. Poor ole Stetson had to rely on true freshmen to catch his passes and dragged his gigantic nutsack across the entire state of Alabama.

Hollow stats, son.

He talked shit when the going was good. He cried when it wasn't. Another Baker Mayfield.

Guarantee you none of the other QBs mentioned are throwing a pick 6 with the game on the line.
I can't believe I am even defending Bama, as I can't stand them, but Young carried Bama. He carried Bama when they blew out Georgia in the SEC championship game with Jameson Williams and he carried them in the NC game, when they were down to playing their bench at WR.

If you want to point the finger at someone for losing the game for Bama -- point to their OL. They averaged about 3 ypc running the ball. When you add in the yards lost from sacks, they ran for a total of 30 yards.

Instead of talking trash about the guy who will be the #1 pick in the draft next year -- give your defense the props they deserve. That's what won the game for Georgia.

Hate to break it to you, but your defense is what won you the game. Swap Georgia's defense for any other defense in CFB and you lose that game.

It's next man up, don't rely on brittle bitches.

Those bench receivers were highly recruited, and they can't all be busts. The o-line didn't fold in the red zone or throw the game ending pick 6.

He might be the number one pick, but I have more confidence saying he will be a huge bust in the NFL than when I said the same thing about Josh Rosen.

Nah, Stetson getting mad after the refs fucked him with that fumble call won the game. That and him trusting his 3 star true freshman WR to beat Bama's 5 star corner.

You can say, nah. It is still the truth. To go a step further -- your front 7 is what won you the game. If it makes you feel better to say Bennett did -- feel free. But calling out the guy who single handedly kept Bama in the game and torched Georgia's unbelievable defense doesn't even make any sense. You are just coming off as a jaded fan.

The guy that was terrible in the red zone and threw the game ending pick 6 kept em in the game. Right. Bennett bent the entire Bama team over and fucked them in the ass and there wasn't a damn thing Bama could do to stop it.

Maybe it is just shitty QB's the Bama defense can't beat. :dhd:

It was one game, when Bama was without their top weapons at WR. This is the same QB who threw for 421 yards and 3 tds against Georgia when he had Williams.

Just be happy the breaks went Georgia's way and you got over the National Title hump and hopefully broke the Bama jinx they seemed to have over you guys.

Bama wasn't the Bama we've seen over the last decade. They had serious holes on their team -- that isn't the norm for them. Just the fact they weren't Bama good this year and still made the NC game is crazy to me.

I'm not hearing any of the WR excuses. UGA's top receiver on the year was a true freshman tight end and 2 of the top 3 wide receivers were 3 star freshmen. Have your guys ready to play and don't bitch if they ain't. Depth at any position has never been an issue for Bama.
He sucked when it mattered most. What's he gonna do next year when those WRs are all he has the entire season?

You actually got your best WR back for the CFP. I think he had a 50 yard catch in the NC game. And what does the year of the player mean? If you are a CFB fan -- you know some kids are ready to play right out of HS and others take some time to learn the system, add strength, etc.

It cracks me up to hear a fan of Georgia, whose roster is made up of roughly 25% five star recruits, bragging about playing some 3 star recruits. 20 of your 85 scholarship players are 5 star recruits. That's absurd. Michigan has a top 10 class many years and i bet you'd have to add up the last 20 years of our recruits to get to 20 five stars :pound:

Just be happy you won for crying out loud. I know I'm jealous, because with the current landscape of CFB and the recruiting -- The chances of seeing Michigan win a title is very, very, very slim. Our best chance is to have Larry Page (guy who created and co-owns Google) or Stephen Ross (guy who owns the Miami Dolphins and real estate mogul) -- our best chance to have those two donate a couple hundred million to the program to use for NIL to sign some recruits (ala Texas A&M this year)

A 100% George Pickens would have been the best WR on either roster. We managed the year just fine without him, and he was far from 100% at the end. It means a lot IMO. If Georgia's 3 star freshmen can be difference makers at WR, why can't Bama's highly recruited freshman WR's do the same? It's not a valid excuse. Young turtled when it mattered most.

The 5 stars are great, but we had major contributions from lightly recruited 3 stars and 2 walk ons(one being the QB), and I think those players deserve just as much credit as the 5 stars.

I'm very happy. I love that I can finally talk shit about Bama after a game. I'm sure Bama will be better next year, but I ain't about to concede anything to them either.

Pickens isn't better than Jameson Williams. Pickens is a very good WR, but Williams is a game changer. It is mind blowing to me, he couldn't crack the top 3 at Ohio State.

As far as freshman making a difference -- it is a crap shoot. You never know which kids are going to be able to step in and contribute immediately. Some years, you can have 2 or 3 freshman step on the field and help out, other years, it can be zero guys. WR is usually a spot where a player can step in and help out, but I have no idea how complex Bama's scheme is and if it is feasible for that to happen.

I was really happy for Georgia, as they seem to have such a die hard fan base, to see them get over the hump and win a title. I think this is just one of many to come, because the state of Georgia simply has SOOOOOO many elite recruits, Georgia should be stacked each and every year. I think we could see a Bama type of run from Georgia if they can find the right QB's.

Pickens has been held back by QBs, but he's the best WR UGA has had since AJ Green(what a waste of talent for Green on that run of mediocre UGA teams). When he's 100%, I'll put the talent of Pickens against any receiver in the country.

A lot of is scouting. Obviously, AD Mitchell should have been higher than a 3 star, but at the end of the year, they're not really freshmen anymore and I have zero sympathy if anyone on the team isn't ready to step in and make a difference.

There will never be another run like Bama, it's just not possible, but I think we can get a few more along the way, and that's fine. I'm ost happy that the pick 6 will replace 2nd and 26 as the most shown play from previous games in the next matchup.

It has little to do with scouting. NFL teams pour over tapes, put guys thru endless drills, QB's thru every pass imaginable, the players are measured every way imaginable, yet every team has multiple players they draft who end up being a bust each year.

It is impossible to judge how a player will adjust to the speed and strength of the game when you jump levels. Could you hit on some 3 star guys who will contribute early? Sure. The odds are much more likely if they are a 4 or 5 star recruit though.

What makes teams like Georgia, Bama, Ohio State, Clemson, etc so good is -- they have entire rosters of 4 and 5 star recruits. So if one flops, they have one right behind him to take their spot. What also helps them is -- the 3 star guys end up having to compete against 4 and 5 star guys all offseason, during practice etc. and it only makes them better too. So if a team like Georgia hits on a few 3 star guys to go along with embarrassment of elite recruits -- you get what you had this year.

Imagine being a 5 star getting outplayed by a walkon. Young ain’t Tua or McCarron or McElroy or even Wilson

I agree, much better than all of them, and the heavy favorite to be the second two-time Heisman winner.

Saying Ladd McConkey outperformed Jermaine Burton is the equivalent of saying Slade Boldon is a better receiver than Jameson Williams. If your slow possession receiver is getting a lot of catches it might be because your QB isn't talented enough to chuck it downfield.
