I can't believe I am even defending Bama, as I can't stand them, but Young carried Bama. He carried Bama when they blew out Georgia in the SEC championship game with Jameson Williams and he carried them in the NC game, when they were down to playing their bench at WR.
Hate to break it to you, but your defense is what won you the game. Swap Georgia's defense for any other defense in CFB and you lose that game.

It was one game, when Bama was without their top weapons at WR. This is the same QB who threw for 421 yards and 3 tds against Georgia when he had Williams.
Bama wasn't the Bama we've seen over the last decade. They had serious holes on their team -- that isn't the norm for them. Just the fact they weren't Bama good this year and still made the NC game is crazy to me.Maybe it is just shitty QB's the Bama defense can't beat.
I'm not hearing any of the WR excuses. UGA's top receiver on the year was a true freshman tight end and 2 of the top 3 wide receivers were 3 star freshmen. Have your guys ready to play and don't bitch if they ain't. Depth at any position has never been an issue for Bama.

A 100% George Pickens would have been the best WR on either roster. We managed the year just fine without him, and he was far from 100% at the end. It means a lot IMO. If Georgia's 3 star freshmen can be difference makers at WR, why can't Bama's highly recruited freshman WR's do the same? It's not a valid excuse. It cracks me up to hear a fan of Georgia, whose roster is made up of roughly 25% five star recruits, bragging about playing some 3 star recruits. 20 of your 85 scholarship players are 5 star recruits. That's absurd. Michigan has a top 10 class many years and i bet you'd have to add up the last 20 years of our recruits to get to 20 five stars
Just be happy you won for crying out loud. I know I'm jealous, because with the current landscape of CFB and the recruiting -- The chances of seeing Michigan win a title is very, very, very slim. Our best chance is to have Larry Page (guy who created and co-owns Google) or Stephen Ross (guy who owns the Miami Dolphins and real estate mogul) -- our best chance to have those two donate a couple hundred million to the program to use for NIL to sign some recruits (ala Texas A&M this year)
Pickens isn't better than Jameson Williams. Pickens is a very good WR, but Williams is a game changer. It is mind blowing to me, he couldn't crack the top 3 at Ohio State.
Pickens has been held back by QBs, but he's the best WR UGA has had since AJ Green(what a waste of talent for Green on that run of mediocre UGA teams). When he's 100%, I'll put the talent of Pickens against any receiver in the country.
It has little to do with scouting. NFL teams pour over tapes, put guys thru endless drills, QB's thru every pass imaginable, the players are measured every way imaginable, yet every team has multiple players they draft who end up being a bust each year.
