There is very little hype over this fight and that's too bad. Cause these are two very big and very bad men about to hurt one another. This will not end well for one of them.

I have been out of the MMA game for a while, basically since CFB kicked off. With that said, I really liked what I was seeing out of Gane, but I don't think he can take Ngannou.

Still waiting on that Ngannou/Jones match up. Fucking epic.

I guess that's next. If you didn't see the fight, Ngannou lasted five rounds and won by decision. He beat Gane by wrestling which simply shocked me. Ngannou can't wrestle and Gane has even less skills. After watching the fight last night, Jones has the skills to kick the snot out of Gane or Ngannou. The only question left for me is do those skills carry over 60 pounds heavier.

But if I'm John Jones....I'm calling dana white and signing up because neither those guys has his level of skills.

What is off about last nights fight is Dana White put the belt on Figureirdo but didn't put the belt on Ngannou. I've never not seen Dana White be there for a championship belt.

On top of that, Dana didn't show up for the post fight press conference. And Ngannou didn't get a performance bonus for his fight. Dana is pissed about Ngannou winning.

We need to figure this one out.

I didn't catch it. That is definitely different. Hard for me to wonder too much without seeing Ngannous presence, was he doing it out of respect for Gane, because I really feel that he could have KO'd Gane if he let his hands go. Ngannous power is scary.

Given Jon Jones strengths, I would suspect Ngannou would approach him similar to that of Stipe. Jones doesn't have big time power and I doubt much will change at HW in that regard. Jones will either want to be in close (in the clinch or on the ground) or keep distance with leg kicks, chopping him down out of fear of Ngannous one punch power.

Jones and Ngannou both already agreed to the fight back in 2019 or early 2020, but they wanted some big time money that DW wasn't ready to give out.

Needless to say that those negotiations fell through lol. But they can only deny the fight for so long. Let Jones get a tune up fight at HW against like Volkov or even Stipe or Gane. Assuming Jones handles them or even better, finishes them, it will set the stage that the UFC can't really ignore.

Some have mentioned a tune-up with Stipe making sense. Stipe wants another shot at Ngannou though. Dana has options for a lot less money than what Jones is demanding.

The flip side is a return of John Jones will sell a lot of ppv's. There's a balance and Dana has found it in the past. After last weekends fight, I expect John Jones to be a lot more motivated because Ngannou or Gane are not impressive on the ground. They both looked like big Walrus's wallowing around.

I forgot to say...during the Moreno fight...the crowd started a "Let's go Brandon" chant.
