Hall of Fame Tuesday Morning

Interesting. I guess I didn’t notice since the wife usually does the cooking. You have anything w the baked carrots yet? They end up tasting like sweet potatoes. So good.

Yeah I will admit I was starring at it for longer then I should have wondering what I had done wrong. lol

Nothing with Baked carrots yet... This is only my second week with it

Any HOF whose inductions rely on the votes of sports writers means nothing. Look at TO. Look at the Rodgers situation.

Don’t wait for power hungry nerds to tell who is a HOF or not.

TO is a first ballot all day

Eh

Baseball hall of fame is still the most prestigious of sports imo. It's just dumb as hell to me to try and pick and choose who gets in based on supposition.

Either you ban them all or base it on results as we always have.

Like I said my one exception would be guys like a Sosa that weren't particularly great hitters and then all the sudden showed these enormous gains seemingly overnight.

Bonds, Clemens, A Rod, Manny were all elite level players.
Thankfully there seems to be a younger group of voters slowly making its way its way into voting group. Now its just waiting for the old man yells at clouds group of voters to die off.

I did see this article on ESPN yesterday.

Bobby Abreu? Really? Maybe it's because he was the phils best player for a bit when they stunk and he just seemed lackadaisical out there, but to think of him as a HOFer? Really?

Jones I get, his defense was amazing and his bat wasn't too shabby either.

No clue what the HOF looks at for relivers, but they really capped off the article in fashion.

Andy Petite:
it was tough being a pitcher born in the 1970s and surviving the steroid era.
Ummm, I guess it depends on how you define surviving the steroid era...

You got me to click already, no need to fill it with trash.

Andrew Jones metrics are better than many think. Fantastic defender. If his teams had had a little more success...

It just drives me nuts that Ortiz and Bagwell are instantly in and much better players play this dumb ass waiting game.

Andrew Jones is one of the best CF defenders to ever play. His big issue is he didn't have a very long run at his peak. And defense obviously doesn't get as much attention.
