Jim Harbaugh gone to NFL

Not if Ryan Day doesn't figure out how to get his defense to play against physical teams.

Day is really good at recruiting skill position talent, but I've never seen an OSU defense as soft as the defense they had last year.

OSU played 3 teams who played physical in the trenches last year. They gave up almost 40 points a game to those teams and well over 200 yards rushing a game.
Day is not a DC, that is why he brought in a new one.

The only thing that was remotely decent for Harbaugh’s first. 5 years was the defense so they want to give him credit for that even though he doesn’t touch that at all.

Not sure why Harbaugh is being brought up with this -- we are talking about OSU's defense not being able to handle teams who could play physical last year.

Day isn't the OC either, but in the end, the HC is the one responsible for the team as a whole. OSU's offense has been national title caliber lately, but their defense has become progressively worse.

It was still better than Michigan's last year, so there's that.

Day’s speciality is offense so he lets the DC do his job. Harbaugh’s specialty is offense so he lets the DC do his thing. Harbaugh’s offenses have been not very good over his time in Ann Arbor and if he hadn’t had very good defenses nearly his entire time there, his record would be much worse.

Does anyone even know if one or more of the important pieces on the Vikings happens to really like chicken? There could be a roster shake (and bake)-up coming

It explains why Kirk Cousins wants to get the fuck out.

Nerves aside it is a pretty tasty bird, I could possibly understand if that was the reason :noidea:

I'm amused by all the "Harbaugh restored Michigan" stuff.

Michigan had a great game against tOSU, and frankly, although they beat the shit out of the Buckeyes straight up, I think a lot of it was that Michigan was just hungrier.

Other than that, their season wasn't particularly special. "B1G champs!" Alright, they beat Iowa. Well, so did 9-4 Wisconsin, 9-4 Purdue, and 10-3 Kentucky.

I'd pump the brakes on the whole "they're back" stuff until there's some sustained success. Don't forget, UoM won The Game in 2011 and then lost the next 8 matchups.

Harbaugh in his total time there, got Michigan back to about what Michigan was under Lloyd Carr.

They can pull off 8-10 wins per season in most cases, but more often than not they arent serious national title contenders. A "good not great" program.

He is good enough to keep them out of falling back into a total Rich Rod/Hoke mess.

Best case scenario if he leaves is they can find someone who can keep that up. But I think chances are greater of them running into another lame duck. Whoever it would be would have their work cutout for them to say the least considering the somewhat unrealistic expectations this past season created.

It's a thread about Harbaugh.
Let’s talk about Harbaugh’s replacement … Tom Brady … I just started that rumor unless someone was before me .

What bet did you lose to get that unworthy avatar?

He has a couple good DC. Day doesnt run defense so when it is good, it is his hire not himself.

Day still calls the plays. So Day is responsible for that.
