Brian Flores Is In Full Meltdown Mode

I feel like this has settlement written all over it. No way the NFL will want proof that an owner actively tried to lose games to be made public, nor would they let anything smear golden boy Brady's legacy if he' the mystery QB. And if this is a settlement he'll be a very rich man.

(this is assuming he either has the receipts or they exist and can be brought to light)
Can you settle this one though?

You run the risk of every black guy that doesn’t get a job to sue.

I think that's a fair point. I guess it comes down to what Flores and his team can prove.

He's never going to prove racism in hiring, at best on that front he proves a team bypassed the Rooney Rule and confirm what most people think which is its a formality and not useful. If that is all it was the NFL would fight that fight, punish the Giants who have probable deniability and move on.

Now what I think what makes his case different is Stephen Ross incentivizing tanking. Between the massive credibility hit, the likelihood of an owner being forced to sell and all the other issues with the union/other financial stakeholders I can't imagine the NFL or the owners would want to deal with that nightmare.

They should take the Giants draft away this year. All the picks. That would teach them.

Also, fuck the Mara's.

You can’t leave yourself open to emails being subpoenaed.

I’m no contract lawyering expert, just assuming whatever they feel was in Gruden’s contract that would allow arbitration, they’ll prolly say was in Flores too.

Both tossed out some bold, most likely true yet unlikely to prove, claims. And both would need a shit ton of private conversations to be made public if they were ever given a chance to prove em.

I don’t see the other owners taking the big hit to bail out stupidity on the part of Miami.

We know the Eagles tanked big time last year by pulling Hurts and it’s happened many times. It’s no secret.

The email thing is huge but I’ll tell you this I’ve been told since day 1 to never write an email you don’t want read in court and I live by it. Any idiot that put incriminating information in email deserves what they get.

On second thought, Kliff Kingsbury failing upwards into being a head coach with the qualifications being he's totes dreamy and once had a conversation with Sean McVay might mean Flores is onto something.

Well, there is your smoking gun.
Not really. Giants interviewed Leslie Frazier Jan 21, 6 days before they interviewed Flores. The texts from Belichick are supposedly from Jan 24. They had already satisfied the Rooney Rule.

On one of the twitter links that have been posted on this thread (or the duplicate thread) someone posted that since the Rooney Rule was instituted just over 20% of the head coaches hired in the NFL were black including Brian Flores. He and his lawyer are fishing and this lawsuit should end up the courthouse garbage can.

That would be good for the Cowboys.

Arbitration….I didn’t think of this at all. Lots of intriguing questions I don’t know the answers too here. One of them is….is Flores still under a contract that would call for arbitration, or is that out with the firing?

With a night to sleep on it….I don’t know if they can put positive change into the Rooney rule from this. But I am intrigued to see what might happen since they made this class action.

I don’t think it changes the power of this suit in court at all. But if it finally blows up the utterly shitty way this league is currently run overall….then I’m a fan.

What black coaches have been hired recently? I haven’t been paying that close attention but I don’t remember seeing one.
No black head coaches but there have been many black position coaches hired. The Bears just hired a black GM.

The notion of "racism" in regards to the NFL and it's hiring practices is just as eye rolly as most things "RACIST".

Do people really believe that an NFL GM/Owner is going to deny a candidate, who offers them the best chance to win games (see: make money) based on the color of their skin? The majority of players in the NFL are black. The most jobs in the NFL, with a direct impact on winning games (see: making money) are black. To that, the overwhelming majority of coaches, in both college and the NFL are white. So, the overwhelming majority of potential candidates for a coaching job, will be white. It's not RACISM!!!!! when a white person gets a coaching job over a black person, it's statistics.

All I know is the league went that route with Chuckie. And the league forced him to be fired and still went with it.

I wish them both luck.

the fact Bienemy hasn't been hired as a HC to me is the biggest travesty. Either he is the worst interview in the world, has unreasonable demands, or something shady is going on.

Sure, he has the title of OC, but is he really? Andy Reid is the one that always has the waffle house menu in his hands.

ESPN is acting like a third world war has broke out.

Some of the gayest shit I've ever watched. Fuck this guy. What a moron. He will never coach again at any level, save for maybe his kid's peewee team.

The guy is whining about discrimination and then hires white lawyers to represent him.
