Washington's new team name: Washington Commanders!

What has it been, 2 years of "football team" names? So in all that time THIS is the best they came up with?
 
If they're gonna go with a political or military name, Senators always works. I guess that name is probably copyrighted or something.

Washington Football Club would have been better than "Commanders". Fills me with as much meh as "Cleveland Guardians".

Just go with the city name and use a hog as a mascot. Done and easy.
