Texas A&M boosters paid $30 million for the top-overall 2022 class

Look, I've said all along that all programs have bag men. I kind of like that it's more out in the open now. I just want rules and regulations that we all follow if it is going to be legal.

I obviously have no proof. I am just wondering what made it so that TAMU suddenly became the program that everyone wanted to go to. There is plenty of smoke, some of Dumbos own comments indicated it. And as I said, I don't have a problem with it ... just want to make sure my team is able to do the same thing.

@fordman84 you know this knockout??

lol obsession, that's what Osborne was.. always blaming Texas for everything.. VY scored low on a wonderlic test sure, but he wasn't as dumb as lawrence phillips who btw got a waiver to get in.

LP didn't play the vast majority of the '95 NC season, and didn't play any of the '97 NC season.

True freshman Ahman Green did.

Well if there aren't limits then I don't see what the issue is.

There are clearly limits in the law and the NCAA rules. It appear that no one is paying attention to said limits. ATM seems to be way out in front of this.

FWIW, this isn't some revelation.

So what I'm hearing it is a level playing field, just some schools are better than others. As I said a while ago, the school that basically founded Arthur Anderson is most likely the ones that find a way to get creative with the money.

You are being kind of dense here. Do you think that NIL is part of why your class was so good, yes or no? I am going yes. Also, we had the no. 3 class, and I a guessing we did some NIL stuff, too.

Because NIL is so new, do you think that the NCAA/Conferences will (1) decide they need to get more specific, or (2) go Wild West on this and just let everyone do what they are doing? Think about this ... you literally have Deon Sanders say on live TV they are paying the no. 1 player in the country. You have a coach ... Kiffen publicly call out another program ... you think he did that without knowing what is going on, and do you think that the NCAA/Conferences want coaches doing that in their billion dollar business? Smart and Saban just went public with their thoughts ... you think they do that if they don't know what is going on, and say what they said without a very specific purpose in mind.

You need to be real - NIL is being used to induce players to come to schools. That was not the intent. The NCAA/Conferences who run billion dollar businesses will have no choice but to do something, as feckless as they typically are.

Yes, NIL is why we had the top class. I've never said otherwise.

I've never seen anyone win the natty and still be so fucking pissed off over fucking RECRUITS that you are sitting here inventing bullshit about another school.

It will be all fun and games until the fuckheads in Washington D.C. get involved. Don't even get me started on the stupid shit I see every day when we have to abide by federal regulations that have no basis in reality. Trust me; if the Congress critters ever poke their noses into CFB in a big way, we'll all rue the day this NIL thing and other $$$ wasn't structured better back on Day One.

You'll have to forgive me for my poor memory, but wasn't it the state and fed gov. fuckheads that made the NIL happen?
Of course if they get further involved they can fuck it up worse than it is now.

I’m not pissed at all. I’m enjoying all my natty merch and watching YouTube highlights. I am discussing things about CFB because that’s what we do here. But seriously, not pissed at all … enjoying our really good class! How am I inventing something you just admitted?

Who din't see this comin?

Gonna ruin CFB.
Ncaa (immoral and unamerican monopsony) artificially and unethically keeping players from getting paid and keeping the system from naturally finding balance led to this.
