The should double down and definitely boycott the Olympics because it’s 100% political that the Winter Olympics are being held in a City that hasn’t gotten below freezing in over 3 years and all the snow is 100% artificial. The entire event is one big propaganda machine that was bought and paid for by China.

There is no separation at this point. The games are a farce where the selection of the event is bought and paid for and our athletes do not have freedom of speech without the threat of retaliation and can't even take their own cell phones with them because the Chineese government requires them to download an app that will steal all their data and monitor their communications under the guise of COVID tracking.
The entire Olympics is one big propaganda machine for the Chinese so if you think you are separating anything then you are egregiously wrong and unwittingly cooperating with their ultimate goals. In other words, you are allowing yourself to be a pawn.
Make no mistake they are taking your watching, which equals ratings, as a sign of approval of their regime. Your intentions will be much different but it will not matter to them as they will steal your voice/intentions and claim otherwise. How ironic that the anarchist anti-government advocate is willing to support the suppression of freedom and genocide so you can watch ice skating.

I watched it on Youtube after reading the OP so calm down! I guess you don't have any products from China in your possession right now. Just about everything has components that are made in China so until you get rid of all of them you are supporting the PRC. How could you? Think of the poor Uyghurs!
My wife and I had this debate a couple of days ago.
I said “didn’t China just have an Olympics a few years ago?”
Her: “That’s different. That was a summer Olympics”.
Me: “So? Why does that matter? It’s still the Olympics”
Her: “But this one is Winter. It’s different”
Me (tired of the discussion): “Ok. What’s for dinner?”
I’m still not sure why it matters that one is Summer and one is Winter, but I reminded myself that in either case, the Olympics is mostly a bunch of sports I wouldn’t watch at any other time and decided to move on.

I don't get figure skating. I certainly understand that when you fall down that's no good but the rest of it seems so subjective. They need a goal or a basket. Plus gay dudes do it so its not really different than NASCAR

I'm fully aware I have and will continue to have products made in China as it is impossible not to at this point. This isn't another Juice thread listing companies I will no longer support and I'm not going to boycott Coke because they're woke.
What I won't do is watch one second of the Olympics and be a part of their propaganda machine or listen to the networks that are too intimidated by China to voice unbiased opinions.
You should try not using your phone, laptop, tablet, tv etc that are all made in China.
