Texas getting Cutcliffe

They have loved Sark from the jump, and they really like the vibe out in Austin. That family also has a tendency to end up at places that are struggling.

He's a must get for Sark cause of his name and what it brings if he chooses Austin. I like Ewers over Arch based on high school tape and the difference in competition.

If DC does indeed end up in Austin.. I tend to think Arch will announce wherever he wants to go by May.

Arch isn’t redshirting. Arch isn’t coming to a school with a young starting QB already in place.
Of course he will ... there isn't a family that understands QBs better than the Manning family, they don't need NIL money, and they won't be in a hurry to get him through 3 years of college. If he is as good as everyone says, look for him to go somewhere with (1) a very a stable coaching environment, (2) a good OC, (3) a school with a tradition of good OL play, (4) a good school to get an education, (5) an offense where he can learn a pro offense, and (6) a place where he can have some fun in college. The last thing they will worry about is if he has to sit as a freshman ... in fact, they will see that as a positive.

From what I have read, UGA leads with Bama, Texas, LSU and Ole Miss in play. OU might be in play with the Ole Miss OC now at OU. Clemson is out.

Why UGA? It is reported that Arch really likes Athens. From a football perspective, the Mannings know Kirby well and like him. They like our OC, Monken who has a pro background and runs the type of O that will prepare him for the NFL. They like Matt Luke (past Ole Miss coach and OL coach), and Buster Faulkner, an O analyst who specializes with QBs and is friends with the Mannings. The coaching environment is as good as it can be, and CKS has made great hires to replace departing assistants. OL play has been great at UGA. Downtown Athens is pretty much undefeated.

Bama is Bama, and obviously has a great recent QB tradition. Question is who will be the OC, and will Saban be there? Perhaps Arch could be his swan song.

From what I have read, they aren't overly keen on Kiffen, but it is Ole Miss.

Texas as the fact that it isn't SEC yet going against it, but a lot going for it. Sark is a great OC, and did wonders with QBs at Bama. Question is how good a HC is he. Hiring Cutcliff makes a lot of sense. If Ewers is as good as everyone says, he will be in his second year as a starter during Arch's freshman year, but would be draft eligible the following year.

I think it will ultimately be UGA, Bama or Texas. Obviously hoping it will be UGA.

A&M doesn't need him, we are willing to share in this instance.

You guys do know that you need more than DL and TE's to win the natty, right? I am guessing you guys are doubling down on your recruiting in Sweden and there is a sleeper Swede QB that none of us know about.

I didn’t realize Ole Miss and Bama were rivals. That’s like saying Ohio State and Purdue are rivals.
Can someone explain this to me?

The thing you guys don't realize is that even when the SEC was just 10 teams we didn't play all the other schools so everyone had a group that they played every year (even though it wasn't officially divisions) and rotated everyone else. Alabama's group was:

Ole Miss
LSU
Vandy
Tenn
Auburn

All of these games are technically rival games for them but Vandy is out since they never play, Tenn hasn't beaten them in 12 years so really it's down to LSU, Ole Miss and Auburn.

LSU vs Ole Miss is a big game also.

Auburn's regular schedule was:

Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Tennesee
Miss State

All of these games are big games to us still except for maybe Miss State (freely admit Miss State gets Auburn more often than I would like and good for them, save your commentary).

We have King, Brads kid, and a 5 star Weigman.

The swede thing is funny, but we also got the #1 TE from GA and TX. :suds:

So because Purdue and Ohio State were once in the same division, they are “rivals”. Is Rutgers and Ohio State “rivals” now?

We have a bunch of 5* QBs, too, but we ain't turning down Manning if he wants to come.

8 DL and 3 TEs in one class. Seems unbalanced. Hey, you have the no. 1 class, I am allowed to find some cracks in it.

Sounds like our special teams are gonna be lit!

Would be awesome for him to go to Vandy and be the savior of their program.
That and it would be great to watch the meltdown from the big time faithful. Similar to what happened with the highly ranked kid that signed with Deion! It was almost that way when Ed Oliver chose Houston.

I still don't get the Jackson St kid. I don't think he lasts more than a season there. When he fails to make any prime time TV games, he will jump.

Yeah, he's an idiot. Got a ton of money, will be gone in 1 year once he rides the bus for a couple hours to each game.

It's like the heated Great Cola Rivalry between Coke and Shasta!

I don't understand it either but it is fun to watch the reactions from traditional powers. Kind of like the reactions to Riley and Kelly having the audacity to leave bluebloods like OU and Notre Dame. How dare them do such? No one leaves a blueblood on their own terms. Right?
