Yea it's an added discount. Just make sure you give ample stopping distance and easy discount it's only like 30-60 days I think then the monitoring is over. Every company has a version of it now.

"Dear valued Progressive Snapshot Customer,

BTW... Even though you depart the Dew-Drop-Inn Saloon at 11:30pm, we see you're in there all day/every day and the average tab on your debit card is $40. Just sayin."

Daughter did this after she totaled my car years back. All the tips mentioned above is super important. It was nice that you could see the data at any point. She could amend her driving and get best possible discount.

lol is that real? Is it personalized?

Would not work for me. I’m a bit of a reckless driver to have such a good driving record(only one ticket on record and no at fault accidents)

Absolutely not. I'm not going to sell my location data to the insurance company for a few bucks savings. And make no mistake, they are selling that data and making more money off of you.

It's exactly like how all those stupid rental bikes/scooters worked. You could rent it for a day for just $1 and if you threw it in a pond they didn't care.

Because what they were after was the traffic pattern data which was worth a shit ton of money when they sell it.

Are you telling me you don't use Android auto and Google maps to see faster routes? Accidents, speed traps etc?

LOL, No.

I snipped the image of off of Progressive's web-page, but the rest of it I made up.

To have the knowledge of those guidelines they would also have knowledge of what you do all day and where you're at.

I have no google products of any type on my phone.

Edit: unless Waze is a google product. Then fuck me.

Those scooters are a dollar a minute. It's stupid.

are they? I never used one. We did a work thing once where we rented lime bikes. All dozen or so of us got them all for free because of some sort of signup bonus and refer a friend. So we had their bikes for hours and never paid a thing. But they knew where all we went that afternoon.

Okay so you are trying to tell me you don't use any apple equivalent?

Also can you point out in progressive snapshot where they say they sell/share location data? Not that it's important (cuz it really isn't)

I have the state farm version on my gmc terrain. I bought it and got the insurance bill and thought it was too much . Threatened to cancel and go shopping for everything. House other truck motor home utility trailer and 2 shops. They asked me to try it. Saved me 250.

They knew where the bikes were so they can recover them. 😂

Apple is light years ahead of other big data companies about protecting and not monetizing user data.

As for the progressive question, sure give me a minute and I'll pull the legal verbiage if I can find their T&C for it. I promise it is in there.

Lol that's avoiding the core debate, being light years ahead doesn't mean anything when they do exactly the same thing.
