I haven't heard much on the start of the MLB, are they wrapping up talks to be able to start the season on time? Last year was the first year in maybe 15 years that I actually intently watched or followed the MLB and just as I was getting back into it, they pull this potential lock out crap.

Not looking good, Kemosabe

My interest in professional baseball hasn't been this low in decades.

Between the fighting/not playing during COVID 2020, getting rid of Chief Wahoo, changing to Guardians and now this, I'm having a difficult time finding any fucks to give.

Also, whenever I see someone with Guardians gear, I think to myself, 'ass-kisser."

at least you aren't a washington commie. i mean commondor...or commanders.. whatever they are

Well you are a Cleveland fan.
That's funny.

Are there any small market teams that have had more success than the Indians over the last twenty-five years or so? I can't really think of any.

Hell, they've been more successful than a lot of large market teams over that time.

Royals.

Two playoff berths in thirty-six years?

Please.
Those two playoff appearances each resulted in a WS appearance with one win.

Hell, the Marlins have two WS titles in the last 25 years.

I'm an all or nothing kinda guy.

I think your perspective might be skewed a bit by the Braves' and Bulldogs' recent seasons.

Yeah, I'd certainly prefer a championship, but I've had some awesome times rooting for awesome Indians teams over the years.

Other than those two WS, the Royals have pretty much been the doormat of the AL Central and West before that.

Would I want to swap successes with them? I don't know. That would be a difficult decision.

You always take the championship. UGA was easily a top 10 program of the 21st century, yet were seen as below teams like Texas and FSU because they had natties. UGA got a natty this century now. We're not rated behind teams that have been down for years that had a more recent natty anymore.

As for the Braves, I'm a firm believer in all out rebuilds now.

Yeah, but that's not the Royals situation. They aren't easily a top 10 anything. They were absolute shit for two decades, won a championship, and then went back to absolute shit.

One title has to be worth at least 15 unsuccessful playoff appearances.
